Looks like it will be epic on IMAX, just re watched Alien and Ridley Scott knows how to make a fucking movie, so Im definitely catching this one.

Apparently, Ridley was motivated to make this after he realized how big Avatar was.

Plus, he's putting all these other crappy "sci-fi" films to shame and showing these new dudes how to do it right.

jay the only one ridley scott directed is the original alien. also this isn't meant to be a strict sequel. from the stuff he's been saying, it's more like a spiritual successor, like black swan and the wrestler

and peoplen saying this is a prequel

but i doubt it

i think the only way you can say its a prequel is thats its in the universe,but that doesnt really count


its kind of like the hobbit i guess

same universe

but in the case,no one from the prequel shows up in the alien series

unless they end up doing it in the movie

Ridley Scott said Prometheus is not a direct prequel to Alien, but there are things that will relate to Alien in the movie.

MASSIVELY fucking disappointed with this.

Bad acting, questionable editing, shit pacing, opening scene is completely irrelevent to the rest of the film and never explained or referenced, the very end scene is pathetically crowbarred in, and there's very noticable plot holes literally every 10 minutes.

Lets hope Skyfall and TDKR are better movies, these and Prometheus are the only 2012 films i was looking forward to.

i got a question though,yall remember on the first alien movie,then they went on the planet and found that ship on the planet,with that alien humanoid thing inside of a like a pilot seat

was that the crew they found on aliens thats in this movie?

Not always an indicator of how great a film is.

I felt the same way as you. Great trailers that effectively masked how much of a mess this film was.

I immediately went back to watch Alien after getting out of Prometheus. Ridley dun fucked up.
