I like where the series is going thus far. Nothing like Aang's story at all, but in a good way.

Looks like they downgraded firebending a little bit. Used to be only the OD powerful firebenders producing lightning (Azula, Iroh, Ozai, etc.), but now they got factory workers full of them lol.

Maybe his motive is to keep his bending a secret, remove all bending from everybody, and rule with an iron fist when everybody is helpless.

^ i think i ~kinda~ know what you mean. it feels forced. reminds me of what little i saw of the battlestar galactica spinoff caprica. i haven't really warmed to anyone yet and the run is gonna be less episodes so just hoping.

This shit is super rad, I really love the animation, definitely closer to anime this time. There's obviously going to be some sort of global issue, I just hopes it's not a basic rehashing as before.

Don't think those factory workers were actually bending lightning. They were holding those sticks that I guess produce electricity, which considering it's set way in the future with technological advancements is reasonable to believe.

And well the triad leader (forgot his name) bent lightning, but since he's supposed to be a big badass leader is understandable.
