just watched the first two episodes, show kinda sucks now. hate it so much when shows try to include rap in any way. the music they play is always generic shit that no one has ever heard, the stuff made specifically for the show is always shit. only show that i can recall to have done it well, just picking music that people actually like and listen to, is the wire. and it looks like the whole season is gonna be this.
tbh i kinda felt it towards the end of last season, that the show was losing something, like an urgency or a personal relevance to hank when it became clear hank wasn't gonna get sent to prison. it's only half hours so i'll finish the season to see if it improves, but my expectations are low now. i do like everyone moving on without hank, but marcy and tobolowsky have gone from idgaf to me actively hating them being on-screen.
also visually the show looks kinda different? glossier somehow?
