Didn't know books had the genre of a "girl's book." If its a good book, then its a good book, and in this case its a fucking good book. Once the battle started I read straight through without putting the book down.

Can't say catching fire is that great though because I stopped midway.

i think on the facebook page, they show the explanation of rue and a photo of the girl playing her. i think she's supposed to be black. i didn't think rue's other district partner was gonna be black tho. thresh? lol

oh matt, i'm reading catching fire right now and yes, the first half is rather boring, they're doing the victory tour but towards the middle, there's another games (its been a year) and i have no clue whats going on next.. i guess i could tell you since it doesnt really matter....

but they past victors have to go in as tributes, no matter how old they are

Pretty good book. Only read the first one this summer, guess I'll have to finish the others. Not a girls book, rather a book about a girl. I like Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss.

went to the midnight release. NEVER FUCKING AGAIN. bitch ass teenagers are so fucking annoying during a movie like this.

movie wise, it had good parts, but i wished it was rated R. not bc of the crowd in the theater, but because it could have been a whole lot more badass. i know it was a book, blah blah, but they should have taken it in a better direction. like how Gamer did.

eh, movie was good but not THAT good, it was way overhyped for me. i've never read the books either. the plot is pretty dope, but i felt like all of the action scenes were so understated. this movie could been so much better if it was an R movie... there would be so much more room to really show the corruption of the elite class and the brutality of the actual hunger games

but i'm not a film critic.

yeah i feel like the best part of the film was when they got released from those pods and were racing to the cornucopia. it didn't necessarily have to be more violent but there wasn't a lot of threat like in the books. it felt like a disney channel original movie at times. like when she finds peeta and he looks like will's dad in pirates of the caribbean lolololol
