Seeing as the end of the year is approaching i figured that a thread like this was necessary. So post lists (5, 10 or however many) of your favourite films of the year, in order or not.

My list (in order):

1. Shutter Island
2. Ghost Writer
3. Inception
4. How To Train Your Dragon
5. Kick-Ass

Honourable mentions being : Buried, Social Network and The Kids are All Right.

And the films that I haven't seen yet but think may be in my top 5 are Black Swan, True Grit and Let Me In.

I'm not a big fan of going to the theaters. So most of the movies that would be in my top 5/10, I haven't seen yet.

But I'm assuming it'd look something like yours, with the added movies you haven't seen as well.

i think it didn't release outside the uk until this year.

pedantics aside, of all the 2010 films i've enjoyed, i think the social network will have the most replay value. still working through the coen brothers' back catalogue, but true grit does look rather good.

however, i still have a metric shit ton to see.

Didn't really think that much of Social Network to be honest, it could've been the fact that I was watching a fairly shitty copy but I doubt it.

Edit: And yeah you're right about Harry Brown, it had a 2010 limited release in America.

TSR?

If you mean The Social Network, then yeah, I thought it was gonna be great and everyone went on about how great the dialogue was but I didn't think it was amazing and seeing as it was the main element of the film I was just sort of disappointed I guess. The dialogue was good but it wasn't *insert Tarantino film" good.

Well... I saw Black Swan.

And forget "of 2010," this is one of the best movies I've ever seen.

I know it's not for everyone though.

The Fighter was decent. Exactly what you expect it to be. Though, I did find it very anti-climatic.

But it's worth seeing just for Christian Bale's performance.
