Trainspotting, as chosen by IllestxVillain, is the film for this week of the film club. Directed by Danny Boyle, Trainspotting is an adaption of the novel of the same name by Irvine Welsh. Set in Edinburgh during the late 1980's, Trainspotting focuses on a group of heroin addicts and their life.

Summary:
A group of disaffected Scottish youths turn to heroin to escape the banalities of modern-day existence. Then, they begin to suffer the consequences and discover that there are no easy solutions to the inherent loneliness and pain of life.

Trailer:
I'm not sure if this is the official one but it's the only one on youtube that's not apparently fan-made/edited.

I've only seen bits and pieces of this... and that was over 10 years ago. I don't know why I've never seen it since I consider Danny Boyle to be my favorite director. It's in my Netflix queue, so I should get around to watching it sometime by the end of the week.

I was actually gonna pick Brokeback Mountain next. I guess that's out.

Maybe I'll go with 2 Fast 2 Furious instead.
