HBO's Game of Thrones

May 16, 2011 @ 11:14:38
Fuck now I want to see what ends up happening to Ned Stark, damn cliffhangers. Aw yeah and that gay scene kinda threw me off.
May 16, 2011 @ 12:01:31
I thought Ned was a bad ass? Damn hopefully he recovers fully from that injury. I still have yet to catch up to HBO in The first book

this. anybody else think ned looked a little scared? i was expecting some cocky "you-ain't-shit" sword play from that ♥♥♥♥♥. that blond asshole looked more calm. shame, after all that shit talking
May 21, 2011 @ 14:14:31
yeah i think jamie would've won if the guard hadn't stopped it. ned is headstrong but he's not like a master swordsman it seems.

and he definitely looked scared after his friend got a knife in the face.

May 23, 2011 @ 13:46:40
I swear this show should be called "Everybody Hates Ned", every episode ends with Ned losing in some way. It's painful to watch him lose this much.
May 24, 2011 @ 16:08:44
lmao what a great episode. that shit with tyrion was lolz. and how did ned lose in this episode? he's taking a stand. next episode is about to be epic.

and visaery couldnt have died in a more bad ass way smokeyface

oh and what was that shit with the joffrey barathean? is that implying that joffrey's a bastard? maybe thats what Jon Erin was trying to find out blinkyeyes

\X/

May 24, 2011 @ 20:59:06
lol yes it was implying joffrey is not robert's son and as such is not the rightful heir. watch the next episode and come back.
May 24, 2011 @ 21:05:59
I hope joffry doesnt stay king...
May 24, 2011 @ 21:07:38
Notice that they make it a point repeatedly to say that the Lannisters have golden hair, also couple that with the fact that we know that the Queen is fucking her brother...
May 24, 2011 @ 22:03:21
I just started watching this show. Im pissed that im so late on this

My name is ASAC Schrader, and you can go fuck yourself.

You gotta consider that Jaime is one of the greatest Knights in Westeros while Ned is a Lord who hasn't seen combat since Robert took the throne and there's an age gap.

Having read the books, watching people speculate about what happens next is about as fun as actually watching the show.
May 25, 2011 @ 19:47:12
is there anything that's happened on the show that's surprised you so far, like as far as divergences?
May 25, 2011 @ 20:51:59
^^

i suppose that's another reason why this show's so interesting. the main characters aren't invincible badasses. im bout to pick up the books reaall soon, i can't wait for episodes any longer.

Honestly, not really. They've actually stuck very close to the books. They've skipped over a ton of back story and character development. In the book you find out a lot more about the mythology and history of the world and secondary characters like the different members of the Night's Watch, the Hound and his brother, and Theon Greyjoy. It's understandable why they skip over it...you'd spend 5 seasons on the first book otherwise. I'm surprised they've been able to fit in as much info and as many characters as they have.
May 26, 2011 @ 02:13:02
just watched the newest episode. and damn. that final scene.
can anybody make like a "what we know so far" family tree type thing?
i get all the characters names confused, and im scared to look at wikipedia because im sure there will be tons of spoilers.
May 26, 2011 @ 02:39:33
legit copy of this week's upcoming ep. 7 is already floating out there...
May 26, 2011 @ 02:53:07
I am not going to pick up the book until this show ends. I like being surprised.

Finally saw episode 7 and all I can say is wow, the ending was the biggest cock tease ever. But it seems that Ed Stark keeps taking L's, hopefully he can come back and completely shit on the Lanisters.

there's a spoiler-free guide on the hbo site. has characters, the map, house sigils, etc.

i definitely can't wait til the series is over so i can read these books. i'd be over-analysing everything otherwise.

and idk how ned can get out of this. unless the dothraki invasion puts them in a "stick together to defend our land" kinda situation and he's able to take advantage cos of his wartime experiences.
May 27, 2011 @ 08:49:58
well the books are fucking huge i think, so its not like you'd be able to catch up with series at this point anyway

I've read the books too and do you know if they're actually going to stick to the book 100% or is there talk that they will deviate at some point ?
