Bad observation* definetly not the hulk.

I thought it was weird the mandarin wasn't Asian but then again there is not really any Asian dude's that can look badass enough, or like the mandarin at all.

yeah just got back, i'll second that ^

ben kingsley is fuckin beastly in this. the film has all the focus of the first one without the baggage of having to be an origin, it's what iron man was to batman begins, only to the dark knight rises (idk what iron man 2 was; it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't the dark knight lol).

it's so subversive, like kiss kiss bang bang, but it has a lot of heart. it also has prolly as many jokes as every other marvel film put together. hard to talk about without spoilers, but yeah, no weak points imo. it never sags, except for one polarising point for comic book obsessives

also i like how they didn't try to make it all about building up to avengers 2, but still acknowledged the wider universe

Tony is the only one who uses Bleeding Edge armor, so I'm guessing you mean Tony.

I hope this movie doesn't take a bad route like The Dark Knight Rises or any other trilogy. You'd think since the departure of the team behind the first two it'd suck, but it's raping overseas and has 93% on RT.

shane black directed kiss kiss bang bang and wrote lethal weapon and last action hero. honestly the only people that don't like this film might be comic book nerds.

also @tellmewhentogo, it might make more sense after you see it. the suits aren't really up to par with what tony has been using (for a reason in the film)

this is the antithesis to the dark knight rises in the best way

this movie is essentially kiss kiss bang bang in the marvel universe. it's very shane black. i liked it and i thought it was a very natural progression for the tony stark story. the way i see it the story:

Part 1: Iron Man 1 & 2
Part 2: the Avengers
Part 3: Iron Man 3 

yes.. the whole "mandarin-gate" thing is kind of a disservice to comic book fans who have been waiting to see iron man and mandarin throw down on screen, but i thought it was very clever. it was a nice reinvention of the character, and i appreciate it because i KNOW that was the director's intention. it's a very shane black/kiss kiss bang bang type of plot twist.

i think the mandarin thing is cool in how much it says about how ridiculous super villains are. i prefer that kind of "truth" in storytelling to them playing it straight like some nerd play where everything is super serious

That's what I think it's not about classic Iron Man but more about Starks problems and solutions (for examples the multiple suites)
