Director - Zak Snyder (300, Watchmen)

i wish they'd stop rebooting movies. they need to bring something new to it or gtfo. there've been like 5 superman films and no darkseid, no doomsday, wtf. tired of zod and lex.
October 05, 2010 @ 14:36:11
i think it's a lot easier for this to suck than it is for it to be good. i'm not a writer, so i dunno how you can make a compelling story about a guy who is unhurt by anything except that one thing that seems to be everywhere. hopefully nolan being involved means it'll have a brain. i'd love a superman film that really shows what it is to be him, before a sequel that goes all out. kinda like ang lee's hulk without being dragged down with origin and flashbacks and lack of an actual challenging villain. and all the other small flaws hulk had, even though i kinda preferred it to norton's one.

i dont think superman resonates with the current generation of kids. he's too perfect/powerful. kids today like flawed superheros with real issues. i blame those emo kids.

anyways, if anyone can do this, on paper, its Nolan/Snyder.

and i dont mind them constantly rebooting characters like Superman and Batman. as long as they can make the individual movies stand on their own (or in a tight-knit series). like James Bond.

when it is coming?
November 03, 2010 @ 04:26:43
i think they want a 2013 release. no need to rape 2012 anymore with batman coming out.
November 03, 2010 @ 10:34:16
i wish the bring back Routh, he was good as sup but the movie sucked
November 04, 2010 @ 03:01:08
chris nolan... i can't wait!

Hope it's not gonna suck.

Never really liked the Superman movies

but yes, looking at the director and EP, hope it's gonna be real awesome

Over at Deadline, Finke and Fleming have collaborated on a story that gives us some indication of just who Warner Bros. and director Zack Snyder are looking for:

The actor will likely either be a discovery, or an actor from TV who isn

Was "Superman Returns" any good?

Thinking about buying it from iTunes. - DStyles23 Xbox Live GT: DStyles23

January 30, 2011 @ 14:09:02
its was ok, it was way too long and not that much action scenes, i think like 4

kind of chessy at times lol
January 30, 2011 @ 14:27:36
Lol most of these super hero movies don't even have that much action anymore i.e. Iron Man 2. - DStyles23 Xbox Live GT: DStyles23

January 30, 2011 @ 18:13:15
so this IS coming out in 2012. i read that, similar to sony pictures and spider-man, warner brothers was forced into fast tracking this because of some legal thing that would've lost them money.

i wonder why they chose this guy. more i see about this superman curse, more i question why anyone would touch it.
January 30, 2011 @ 18:34:37
lol there is no fucking superman curse, shit i could play superman i will throw on dem tights quick fast

but all i want to see is superman go against doomsday on the big screen
January 30, 2011 @ 18:54:10
even if there's no curse, the only pure superman movie was the first one, and that was like 30 years ago. 2nd one plagued with internal bullshit, the rest were shit, smallville is shit, lois and clark was cool, but look at how cheesy the idea of superman is now. batman don't kill, but he'll put you in hospital. superman's stories are best when they subvert some convention, and they need a hit too much to be that lateral.

maybe i'm wrong, tho.

Snyder and Nolan ought to make a terrific combination.

Inception was already incredible, can't wait to see how this superman is going to be!
January 31, 2011 @ 02:22:20
lol batman too?

thought this about the batman movies too until i watched batman begins.
i honestly see no chance to make superman kinda dark, suspenseful and interesting, but i hope i'm wrong.

i don't think nolan is the brilliant storyteller anymore, after i watched inception. it seems to me he's just making movies to entertain the average viewer.
