5.6 million viewers, a season high for TWD. i continue to have major reservations about the series fundamentally, and lol @ dalek. i think the best thing this show could do is veer away from the books.
/QUOTE]

I agree to an extent. It's a different art form so it should differ from the books in some respects but I'm just really not a fan of the CDC angle. I hate the "find a cure" storyline. It completely distracts from the core of Walking Dead which is just people surviving. Hopefully, it's just a short detour.

Unless you know where they're going with it (I never read books or any material) I think its too early to assume its the typical "find a cure" scenario. There could be many possibilities and I'm actually hoping that the guy in the CDC is a twisted/dark individual and not the "cure hero" that the show makes him look like. I think it's safe to say that that CDC is probably gonna turn into a safe haven that's not so safe and they'll have to leave. I just hope its more of the human vs human that forces them to leave and not the dead vs human

I'm glad everyone feels the same about the CDC subject. Just looking at all the characters sitting there looks out of place.

Maybe they'll show what happened during the events before they got there, man I hope so I need a little bit of action.

IMO since the first episode (which was amazing btw), they've all been going downhill... hopefully next episode will be badass considering its the season finale, and return of morgan and his kid smokeyface

In addition, Deadline says they hear Darabont wants to go forward into Season 2 without a set writing staff, instead assigning all scripts he doesn't write himself to freelancers. Deadline points out that Darabont fully wrote two episodes of the first season (and co-wrote or re-wrote the others) and that two of the others were written by non-staff writers, including Walking Dead comic book creator Robert Kirkman.

Quick question: AMC is not in HD, right?

I keep wondering if my TV service doesn't offer that shit. It kinda kills the show for me.

IMO the last ep was kind of a letdown. If they had revelaed just a tiny bit more at the end i would have been satisfied, but leaving you with nothing for almost a year is kind of gay. Season 2 should be coming in fall of 2011.

just the one? smh entourage at its worst is better than this. amc's most poorly written series gets its best ratings. and yet i'll be watching next halloween.

this is the tv equivalent of soulja boy selling a million copies of his debut single. violence is why people watch twd.

they really let me down. i can't decide what was a worse let down this year in comic adaptations: scott pilgrim vs. the world or this. probably scott pilgrim, because at least i get a likable shane in the walking dead. how is he not the main character after tonight? smh @ having more compelling characters than your lead. darryl, too.

I didn't think it was THAT bad. And I have high hopes (again) for the second season. Hopefully they see the criticisms of this season and fix all that.

I actually like that Shane is still around. Though I'm not so sure he can make it through a full 13 episode season.

I wish everyone died. That was a huge letdown. So generic, so predictable, and a whisper is not enough for people to linger on for a year.

Horrible.
