I was pretty disappointed that they skipped over the entire winter. Idk if maybe they could only shoot during the spring and/or summer, but I remember Rick speculating that the cold weather might slow down the walkers. I think it could have introduced a cool new dynamic. Plus the hot, humid Georgia summers are getting a bit old I think.

And how the fuck did those guards fall to the walkers while they were all armored up?

lol it doesnt matter if they were armoured up... they were outnumbered

good point that zombie flesh/bone is deteriorated

i think he meant physically how did they die but i guess if everyone is infected and zombies suffocate you with numbers you would turn. failing that, the extremities are not armoured so those are weak spots

good reason to wear vests is chest protection from both gunfire and bites but it would be hard af for a zombie to bite into your chest lol

Yeah but in order to have been bitten by walkers, the walkers would have had to get past the armor on those guards, but they were walking around with that shit perfectly intact. Overall I still enjoyed the premiere.

They could have died of starvation due to locking themselves up hiding from the zombies... Of course that's just speculation since a lot of time has passed in the series now...

If they did that, how would they have gotten out of wherever they holed up? Walkers can't handle locks.

Lol not trying to be a stickler, just sayin

Riot gear is not meant to protect you from zombies. Tilt the head, neck opens up for a clear bite. 3 or more walkers are going to be more than capable of holding you down and getting at some part of your flesh.

The silencers were home made. Rick used the casing of a flashlight if you didn't notice.

Gonna re-watch it later so I'll check it out with more detail

Was anyone else upset they didn't have the prisoners say their infamous line?! sad

What was the prisoners infamous line?

It's from the comics, but they say," You guys want some meatloaf?"

I want to know how that dude kept his mustache so well groomed in a prison during a zombie apocalypse too....

im sure there were riot control dudes at a lot of places trying to contain the zombies. remember in the first season when it shows flashbacks to when the zombies first were at the hospital rick was in a coma at, there were riot control guys there as well just trying to either kill them or keep the zombies contained because nobody knew wtf was going on so they called riot control. i'm suspecting they are at the prison for the very same reason

the situation with the fully suited riot gears seems to be the big question on everyones mind...

what bothers me is that even on the talking dead, Hardwick asked him that exact question and he kinda danced around it, almost as though he didn't have the answer either. real strange.

Nobody would have died with full riot gear on though. Any normal person would take the helmet off. It's impossible for you do die with it on, unless you were bit which didnt happen

They were probably just trying to do something different in terms of zombie types that the people encounter and it backfired on them...

Doesn't it only take a scratch to turn? Should be pretty easy to get scratched even in riot gear.

^I guess you haven't been paying attention?

EVERYBODY is infected. Regardless if you get scratched or not. If you die of natural causes you'll still turn into a zombie.
