The Corporations: Documentary. Greed is good... hmmm idk perhaps true for few selected individuals... Do u want to know what is Corporations? How would it possible for the court of justices treat corps. as equal as human beings yet they have no sense of emotions when it comes to $ and profits?

The Botany of Desire
"Linking our fundamental desires for sweetness, beauty, intoxication and control with the plants that gratify them the apple, the tulip, marijuana, and the potato The Botany of Desire shows that we humans are intricately woven into the web of nature, not standing outside it."

Very interesting how these plants have managed to evolve with humans because of our desires.

I would highly recommend sharkwater and the cove. Both very depressing and sad films and when your finished watching either of them, you begin to wonder why that kind of shit takes place in the world you live in.

cheers

Hoop Dreams

^ dope ass documentary. It's about these two kids that had goals of making it to the NBA, one of them was poor and the other one was often injured.. They both made it to College ball but the film is sad since it shows scenes where they both struggled growin up. One of the kids's dad is a crackhead and you see the kid gettin hella depressed, they also show a scene where the kid's family is unable to pay utility bills so they spend a whole month without electricity..shit had me cryin

hands down the best documentary i've ever seen was Dark Days, it followed a group of homeless people living under penn station in nyc for about a year, nigs built homes and shit, lol runnin water, electricity, nigs lived comfortably, also DJ shadow was involved in the soundtrack, alot of his endtroducing tracks are used throughout the shooting

everyone already knows about zietgeist but i'll still put that forward

Darkon i found really interesting, follows a group of people in modern day baltimore who meet up every weekend at some park for large scale role playing lol, shit is jokes and nigs is supa dupa nerds but u cant front on how fun da shit looks

king of kong was dope, followed steve wiebe as he goes against that douchebag who sets all them retro video game all time highest score records trying to set the new donkey kong record, i forgot his name but the nig is an asshole, you dont even have to like videogames to get behind this shit, they prop it up as a good vs evil story lol, shit is dope

walmart: the high cost of low prices, if u didnt think the devil existed, wait till u watch this shit, walmart is ridiculously evil, i cant even get into it, this shit was like the 1st documentary that i've ever seen that actually got me physically angry, this is a good one too, its mad sad what they get away with

edit: didnt see anyone mention cocaine cowboys so uhhhh....COCAINE COWBOYS!!!

double edit: Slippin - 10 years with the bloods, pretty self explanatory, not the greatest documentary ever made, but shit is still interesting

Hoop Dreams is widely considered to be one of the best documentaries of all time. Roger Ebert put it above Goodfellas as his favorite flick of 1995. Through the fire was dope too.

Bowling For Columbine was interesting, although I pretty much want to punch Michael Moore in the snotbox. Tyson was dope, learned some shit I didn't know about Mike. I watched some other documentary about some suits in washington ordering child prostitutes and sh*t. I guess they tried to stop the film from getting released...it was pretty crazy.

Just watched "Hoop dreams" after reading in this thread, really great film, for the people that said it was too long, they followed those two youngsters and their families for around 5-6-7 years, how do you expect them to make it into something around 2hrs, lenght was good for the amount of time they followed them, hell I even wanted to see more.

Facing the Babit- once a successful broker now he's a heroin junky who spends all of his $$ on heroin without life and job. His last chance is to take this magical substance called "Ibogaine." This is from Africa used by the tribe and it's a strong hallucinogen which magically gets rid of one's PHYSICAL dependecy and withdrawl after the trip....

Great documentry about the horrible cycle of addiction and his last shot to redeem his life back and i dont understand how is this substance is illegal.[The dude had to go to Mexico to take the drug]
