^ Lol, seriously.

Give JGL a chance. Before Ledger got the Joker role, he was a pretty decent actor.

JGL right now is moving up the A-list. Their career paths are very similar.

Between Brick and Inception I could definitely buy JGL as a villain.

hmmm. as much as i want to say they couldn't do a robin.. I feel like nolan could pull it off and it wouldn't be corny at all. In what other ways could his portrayal of batman grow? We've seen his birth, and seen him become the Dark Knight.. but what's next? I think they could do 20 year old dick grayson imo

they've expanded on his ability as a Ninja, but haven't done too much with him as a Detective. This could play well with the Riddler being the main villain, and Batman has to solve all of the Riddler's clues to stop him, making the tone of the third movie more of a psychological thriller.

I dont see this incarnation of Batman brining on a sidekick though. especially since in the Dark Knight, he wanted to retire as Batman, and was looking for an out. The movie ends with Batman on the run as a villain in the public's eye. It'd be tough to transition from that to a state where Bruce Wayne wants to bring in someone else into crime fighting.

i still say batman beyond/of the future after batman 3. had enough of his origin and sequels, nolan perfected it. rachel's dead, they can't bring back the joker or two-face, and this is the last one with the current nolan/bale team. i do agree about the detective thing, though. batman has always been that kind of hero, not some jack bauer.

yeah i said that earlier in the thread, but i feel like if they wanted to do that they would have within the past two movies. We kind of have seen him with a few detective skills trying to find the joker. Its more like he relies on his team of alfred and morgan freeman to do that kind of work. Batman is supposed to be the best detective on the planet and at the peak of human performance.. but nolan hasn't shown either of those off really

i agree. i think we (general public) is ready to move on from the origin stories, and ready for some of the more advanced storylines. (at least for Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, and X-Men). Let's reboot to somewhere in the middle of the franchise where the characters are established, and at the peak of their power.

Nolan is more of a psychological guy when it comes to his movies i.e. memento and his new movie inception. I see him having someone who can challenge batman mentally rather than physically.
