I thought raas al ghul was gonna be the mastermind.
Dec 18, 2011 @ 23:31
I just hope bane can play a good role as a criminal mastermind, rather than just a hulking pile of muscle.
Tbh, thats how i felt he was always portrayed in the comics and cartoon. He always seemed to be the hired muscle of someone else who had the master plan.Thats why I was so uncertain about the choice for bane to play the main villain in this film.I have faith in Nolan though..

Lol, my du, Nolan's going to prove you all wrong.

I've been keeping up with the spoilers of this movie (e.g. Marion Cotillard = Talia Al Ghul) and Bane is nothing like you describe. Nolan's playing this really close to the comics and adds a little bit more to Bane as a villain. He's not only going to be a criminal mastermind, he'll actually dominate in terms of physical power.

I think he'll make an even better villain to Batman than the Joker. Check out that interview they had with Hardy and read how Hardy describes him.

^those 6mins of the prologue blew my mind, you cant really see shit in the leaked out trailers or can't tell what they are saying.
I thought the airplane hijack was phenomenal, and how they lifted that shit and executed the escape. Bane will play an amazing role on this move and Hardy will pull thru, no joke.

Looks a lot better this time around.
Bane sounded easier to understand in the trailer than the prologue too.

Yeah, I guess there is a lot of people complaining already that Bane is going to be too hard to understand in the movie, but I can understand him perfectly in the trailer and I understood most of what he said in the bootleg promo, so I think it will be fine.

True, It'll probably be better in the actual movie. After leaving MI:GP they had us write about what we thought of the prologue and most people complained of Not being able to hear him clearly. I got about 1/3 of what he said, but that made it damn intense not knowing what the fuck he's saying with his accent. So good.

Just the trailer makes me think Bane will make everyone forget the joker was ever in this trilogy
Dec 19, 2011 @ 19:50
Yep, Banes looking to be a damn good villain
Dec 19, 2011 @ 21:46
Yeah I can't understand shit that they're saying even in the official trailer. What do they say at 1:15? "Where's our lead?" "Rise." ?

and does Bane say "Where Gotham is, ashes. You have my permission to die." ?
Dec 19, 2011 @ 22:02
At 1:15 Christian Bale says "What does that mean?" and Michael Caine replies "Rise."

Bane says "When Gotham is ashes, you have my permission to die."

Just watched the prologue, makes me wish this movie drops before summer now. I like how Nolan establishes the villain within the first 6 minutes of the past 2 movies. Even though I don't think Bane will outdo the joker, this is going to be epic.

Bane and Catwoman on that Occupy Wayne Industries movement.

"5 Things you hope Chris Nolan knows about Bane"

"Bane may have been prison raised, but that doesn't mean he's some brainless goon. While locked up, Bane received a formal education from a Jesuit priest and read any book he could find (a lot of Readers Digest I'm guessing). Take that and years of fighting skills and Bane is able to dissect his opponents like a frog in middle school Science class. He is, to date, the only villain to have "broken the Bat" when he released all of Gotham's villains then broke an exhausted Batman's back in an epic duel in the bat-cave, oh and did I mention it only took him a year to figure out Batman's identity? I guess to sum it up...he ain't no slouch, so don't treat him like one Chris"
