saw this last night and it was just "alright" in my opinion. lots of explosions and some fun humor, but definitely did not live up to the hype.

Yeah they do show the monster.

Watched it in an empty theater the night before the release. It was good, but I liked Cloverfield better.

I liked it. It was a little underwhelming in some aspects but it was a fun time. I like movies with group dymanic with kids like Stand By Me and Sandlot and shit.

I went to see this with a group of friends. I knew what to expect, a goonies / et / cloverfield. The others had no idea just excited off the hype. They didn't like it, I thought it was close to perfect I thought the kids would have more involvement with the alien. So basically it's two movies mashed together. Troubled kids life-Monster attacks small town

i liked this one. if youre expecting a big monster movie like cloverfield, u'll be disappointed. all that stuff is secondary to the coming of age story about the main kid. i thought the main kid was a great actor tho.

i liked the ending as it was really touching, but i wish they did a better job tying everything together. the actual movie that the kids shoot (and is the basis of the title) doesn't really do or signify anything.

yeha i saw it last night and same thing happend. ppl i was with were expecting something different so they didnt enjoy it as much, but i thought it was pretty good, ending killed it for me.
