Just got home from a screening of Avengers and I must say it is by far the best Marvel movie to date. I felt all the characters got their fair share of screen time and the movie was well paced. The bonus scene will make a lot of people happy. (Look out for a true boss villan)

tbh 3 hours woulda been fine if they needed that much time.


i hate it when directors cut corners and shit. 3 hours is perfectly fine, look at the last 2 HP movies, they shoulda been one!!

yes about a minute or two after the movie ends there is a bonus scene and supposedly after all the credits roll there is going to be something else in the final theatrical release that was not in this pre screening.

also, Disney owns Marvel.


Spider-Man 1 wasn't a Marvel movie. it was a Sony movie. if you're talking about movies based on Marvel characters (regardless of the studio), then the best "marvel movie" would obviously be Howard the Duck.

Avengers leaked out online last night but real crappy. But didn't show the end credits showing Thanos, but I did YouTube it and I found one. Now I'm super stroked about Thanos being in the next Avengers.

So I saw an early screening tonight. Blown away. Character dynamics were just beautifully executed in every quip. Action was relentless from the get-go with a few dream matches too much for my geek mind. Oh yeah, if anyone is a fan of Whedon's work, his comedic pace shines brilliantly throughout the film.

And that Shwarma scene? People needn't look into that..merely for lulz.

i'm fuckin pissed we didn't get the shawarma thing in the uk. but other than that, i think this is in some ways better than dark knight rises could ever be. i mean, i know it'll be great, but there's something to be said for how seriously batman takes itself and how funny and heartfelt and explode-y avengers was.

they really smacked it and i hope whedon directs the next one. also other than the stuff we knew from other films i.e. loki being played brilliantly mark ruffalo is a revelation as hulk and i just read he got signed for 6 films which i guess comprises avengers sequels and cameos (like how sam jackson got signed for 9 but is barely in iron man 1). i don't think he should get his own film, because as good as the marvel studios films are, the incredible hulk sucked and ang lee's hulk wasn't bad to begin with - hulk is hard to do as a solo character. but yeah i wanna see this again.

idk if the unadulterated joy i felt watching this was me being a comic book fan or it just being a very well-made film. actually nah there is no film like this really. justice league will never happen for so many reasons. fuck batman lol
