I wasnt looking forward to Thor, becuase I never liked how he was an actual god and everyone else were just humans with powers... and how would that work in The Avengers film universe wehre everything is pretty realistic? The way they did it though seems like it will work perfectly, using science instead of magic. IMO Thor is more like an alien than a god then.

this looks pretty good!

i can see it now, Thor isn't able to use his hammer until he learns something about humility and being a real hero.

at the end, maybe natalie portman gets hurt or kidnapped or something, then Thor has this moment of zen, grabs the hammer, and turns super saiyin.

this sounds pretty on point

I did kinda lol when I heard about that. It draws attention to itself (and will do so during the film) for no good reason, like The Last Airbender casting thing. Is it so hard to just adapt characters to film with their original race intact? There are plenty of other ways to be inclusive -- or racist for that matter.

what do they mean by "whitest of Nordic Gods"? like... he is a horrible dancer? he likes to watch Seinfeld?

also, is that racist to say he's the whites of the nordic gods? i'm sure someone would call racism if i said Bishop is the "blackest of X-Men"

dat institutionalised racism. it's probably just a thing of white being associated with good in a lot of words, and vice versa for black.

Thor has alwayz been a terrible character, and difficult to manage/write for. The movie has alot to overcome.

Why u mad?

this can work.

ive realized that for a super hero movie to be successful, it has to adapt the super hero's story to an established movie genre. like....

spider-man = coming of age movie
dark knight = rogue cop movie
iron man = riches to rags to riches movie

thor can work as long as they make it like a fantasy movie.

i also think Incredible Hulk can work better as a "medical mystery movie" (which is kind of what they did in the new one, but made it more of a "loner on the run/chase movie")

iono it seems like a legitimate concern with these dual persona films. hulk, film and elsewhere, has that essential problem. where does the plot go if a guy becomes literally someone else with no accountability for what they do after they change?

then again, idris elba. cool

i didnt know this Thor was a dual-personality. what like there's that scene in the trailer where he does "oh no, is this Earth?!" or something. i think that means even without his power he's still himself, and knows who he is/was.

i know ultimate Thor doesn't have a paraplegic body, but is just a human-version of himself without the Thor power turned on. does he have dual-personalities in the Ultimate comics?

dunno about ultimate, but thor's human alter ego is donald blake. he doesn't look like thor, though, so i don't think the film would do it.

Hawkeye to Appear in Thor?
The rumor of a Jeremy Renner cameo has resurfaced
Despite Jeremy Renner denying rumors that he would make a cameo appearance in Thor as as Hawkeye, The Wrap is now reporting that the character does indeed have a scene in the film.

Renner has long since been confirmed to be playing the character in The Avengers, but, if the rumor plans out, a Thor cameo would mean that fans would get to see Clint Barton on the big screen a year in advance of that film's May 4, 2012 release. Though nothing is confirmed at this time, the role would likely a similar tease as that of Samuel L. Jackson's appearance as Nick Fury in the original Iron Man.
