Captain america 2011

^ don't fuck with me, are you serious?

checking...

edit: you bitch, nothing is confirmed. anyway, I'm now behind Hedlund as Cap. He's best suited for it, now that I have my fantasy notions of Jim Halpert out of the realms of possibility.
Mar 12, 2010 @ 16:30
my bad, i didnt mean he got the role but he is in the running but that other dude is definitely out.

Hugo Weaving may be the Red Skull, I could see that happening.
Mar 13, 2010 @ 09:34
The Red Skull had better wear a mask. It was unrealistic enough to have Two-Face on-screen, imagine Ultimate Red Skull.

So "reportedly" the Captain America role is Chris Evans if he wants it.

I sure fuckin hope not....I hate when they take a actor and put him into ANOTHER comic book movie roll IE Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool AND Green Lantern.

Like come on guys....I think the blonde kid from Brothers should get it. The dude has to be a little bit buff with true blondish hair just like the comic.
Mar 21, 2010 @ 22:37
You can understand though why they are going or hope Chris E. will take the role. He has been in two action/superhero movies as well as Push. He is or is considered a good looking leading actor. He will draw middle/late teen girls. Plus he doesnt have to have the pull of others because it will should be a movie that draws fans. 2 issues though.

Does this movie turn into Push/Jumper. I apologize in advance to Hayden because i do think he is a mediocre to good actor, yet the storyline and writing were atrocious in jumper, i am sure the same prob can be said about Push, i have not seen it and dont plan on it.

Or does it take the Batman/Star Trek/ Iron Man direction. I doubt it will.

I am not saying this is going to be a bad movie, but my expectations are failure. Pg-13, huge budget, better supporting cast then lead actor, terrible direction etc.

I would also say that Green Latern has the possibilty of being a great movie. The supporting cast is not lacking and Reynolds is a good actor. Plus Campbell has directed some decent flicks.

Remember, Captain America is the patriarch of the Marvel Universe. He's the leader of the Avengers, and the one everyone respects. Whoever plays Captain America needs to be able to command the whole Marvel Universe. I dont know how I feel about these CW teeny boppers being up for the role.
Mar 22, 2010 @ 09:10
why dont they just cast dwayne the rock johnson for the hero role smokeyface

this, that is why its taking so long to cast some one

Sam Worthington would be the best pick imo, he is great with a shield

its official, Chris Evans will be Capt America.... FUCKKKKKKKKKKKK. He is way too goofy to be the capt. Unless he cleans up his funny act and becomes way more serious, this movies fails already.

I can see Evans making this role good.

He usually plays the sarcastic asshole, but this is his chance of hitting big.
Mar 23, 2010 @ 04:23
actually in this cesspool of young actors i really don't know who would this movie justice anyway. all i know is cap has always been so amazingily easy to f up movie/tvshowwise.
Mar 23, 2010 @ 08:50
watch Sunshine

Chris Evans plays a badass astronaut in a pretty serious role. he's less of the comic-relief/asshole character that we're used to seeing him play, and pretty good in it.

better than Jim.

I'm just annoyed that the Human Torch is gonna be Steve Rogers. But whatever, I was never that into Captain America anyway.
Mar 23, 2010 @ 12:59
this sounds like it's gonna suck, but Marvel Studios has a pretty good track record so far so Ima just wait and see...

Eh, Marvel Studios only really has Iron Man to show. The Incredible Hulk was good for what it was(i.e. that scene on the college campus, because all of the other fights were kinda empty and anything that wasn't a fight was boring), but nowhere near Iron Man.
Mar 23, 2010 @ 13:52
yeah but if Captain America is as good as Incredible Hulk I'll be satisfied, especially since it's more the full Avengers movie I'm looking forward to.

i thought the hulk was great, ed norton made the perfect bruce banner and yes there was only two fight scenes but still a great movie.

i would love to see him come back for another hulk movie or even the avengers with louis leterrier directing

Mar 23, 2010 @ 14:37
one joke from Chris, and it'll just ruin the entire character/movie.
Mar 23, 2010 @ 15:41
Edward Norton is not gonna be a part of any Hulk-related films. That means sequels or Avengers or cameos, nothing. There was enough trouble when he wanted to have a say on the final cut of the film, ON TOP OF him re-writing AND starring in the film. And he wasn't even happy with the theatrical cut, so... maybe. But a sequel involving Norton is, to me, about as likely as an OutKast album.
Mar 23, 2010 @ 15:43
bitch the Outkast album is coming lol

Chris Evans just might pull it off, he has the look, acting abilities (according to many), and experience playing a super hero... for what it's worth. i'm gonna see what's good with this Sunshine movie everyone's talking about. i'm just hoping he doesn't look too young next to RDJ, Samuel L, that Chris dude playing Thor, and the other Avengers.

can't wait!
Mar 24, 2010 @ 17:24
^Yeah definitely watch Sunshine. He's pretty good in it and the movie was way better than I expected.

he did alright in street kings. no corny jokes or anything. and i doubt they would make him do any corny lines since its fucking captain america. he needs to throw on an extra 10 pounds of muscle. but as long as it comes out better than the wolverine movie ill be good

Mar 24, 2010 @ 19:40
Off course it would be better than the wolverine movie, its not Fox

But true, all he needs is to get his muscle game up
