Might of been some thread before but its 2010...we off that. Anyway, what are some dope, visually appealing, kung fu/samurai/ninja type movies? One of the worst things I hate is a poorly produced, cheesy, bad quality kungfu flick.

The dopest scene in Kung Fu Hustle

Wuxia Pian is what that falls under. I haven't gone deep into it, but even the more mainstream wu xia pian movies are really good watches, especially when it comes to the visuals.

^^ Sonny's got it down. Still trying to find Lone Wolf and Zatoichi box sets for a somewhat reasonable price.

This is one of my favourite fight scenes from recent times. Right up there with the epic battle at the end of Yo-Yo Girl Cop.

I suggest not checking out the youtube vids if you want to be surprised while watching the whole film.

There are so fuckin many to name, but I'll toss some out there off the top of my head. Lots of old ones, but some recent shit has been good too.

KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR THIS! They recreated a whole fuckin city/town.

Ip Man
Something more recent. Donnie Yen has always been on the scene, but was overshadowed by bigger names. Check out some of his other films.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qhPDEOYbx4

Lone Wolf and Cub series
Fuckin awesome shit. WATCH ALL OF THEM

www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtI_Jau3674

Wheels on Meals
The fight between Jackie and Benny "The Jet" is worth the watch.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdXdimITCnc

Dragons Forever

www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUVBJkxAAa0

So Close
Love this movie and highly underrated

www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFi05WrM5hM&feature=related

Zatoichi
Blind swordsman series. Some of my fav shit out there

The 36th Chamber of Shaolin is my favorite one I've seen thus far. Shaolin vs Wu-Tang and Shaolin vs Lama are also good so is Drunken Master with Jackie Chan.

Second that, Enter the Dragon is something else. Really liked Ip Man and can't wait for the sequel. Another one of my all time favorite Kung Fu flicks is Once upon a time in China, classic.
