yeah, a lot of dudes are saying dumbass shit to hate. Cudi got this role before he became a star. He got this role on a legit actor's tip. Auditioned for it and everything. He wanted to be the lead character, but didn't get the role, but they liked him so much they created a whole new character for him, let him name the character and everything.

So naw, they didnt just throw him in there to make nigggas like us go crazy.

He kinda represents the show anyway. Dude went to New York to make it, and he did.

They Started filming this before Day n night was a radio hit btw for the guy who said it was smart to cast him to reach there target audience. On a side not i think the main charecter is going to get back with ex because on the poster for the show she is in his arms.

still a smart casting move nonetheless seeing as how cudi was an up and coming rapper that has the same audience as the show has.

Yeah. They hit me with it. I'll be tuning in every damn week like the little hypebeast I am while they go on about selvage denim, art shows, and Supreme. They clearly catered to hipsters but it actually didn't come off as being too contrived. Good casting I think was the key.

Seriously not impressed, dunno how anyone finds it anything more than mediocre.

Found the acting to be fairly rubbish, Cudi just seemed awkward for the few mins he was on. Storyline was mad predictable, as soon as the denim was mentioned you knew Ben was gonna buy it some time. With the product placement, felt like a super long advertisement, without it, you'd have barely anyone watching.

Only highlight is Samaire Armstrong although I don't like her playing some dumb bitch.

its not the first episode, the pilot is a "testing ground"... everybody is establishing their characters. So its going to be somewhat awkward, give it a couple of episodes,and some time for the actors to grow into their roles. Before the series even start in interviews they told us the basis of show was selling denim it wasn't really suppose to be a suprise that's the basis of show. IDK bout you but by looking into this thread it did damn good job grabbing it market audience, us/street-culture.

naw i dont think HBO will be releasing anymore episodes early. They just did that for the pilot.
