Creepiest movie releasing this year next to Trick 'r Treat and Fourth Kind.

This is getting some pretty good reviews, but people are saying it's better to wait and cop this on DVD rather than in a theater full of people.

If people are saying to wait to watch this on DVD, then the movie can't be THAT great.

I have not seen this, just saw it on my homepage

saw it last night. Im not a huge horror film buff but the film was very smartly made. The format of the movie is documentary style similar to blair witch project. So if you get nausea from shaky cam you might get a minor headache watching this. The basic premise is that this couple is living in this house in san diego. The movie starts after thee husband micah buys a digital camera to record strange paranormal activity that is happening to his wife. Each night they set up the camera in their room and are able to catch strange happenings. Pretty much the movie grabs your attention because the audience knows as soon as he sets up the camera in the room and they goto sleep we can be expecting somthing scary to happen. One thing i hate about horror films are the cheap thrills that most slasher films have, usually consisting of poor editing with some ominous soundtrack followed by a character popping up on screen coinciding with a loud scream or high pitched soundeffect. Paranormal Activity did not rely on such cheap thrills, albeit there were some instances where they make you jump out of your seat. This is definitely a must watch for any horror film fan but even for just a casual fan i found it highly entertaining .

The ending of the film is from Spielberg himself. So want to watch this, but the closest venue is a fuckin' hour and a half away.

Paranormal Activity Gets Full Limited Release on Oct. 9!

The L.A. Times is reporting that after another terrific weekend of sell-out midnight shows in 33 locations, adding up to an astounding weekend take of $535 thousand, Oren Peli's independently-made low budget horror film Paranormal Activity will be given a full theatrical release by Paramount Pictures on October 9 in all of the cities where it's currently playing plus ten additional cities.

This means that you won't have to stay up past midnight in order to see the movie for the first time since it opened for midnight screenings in select cities on September 25.

Apparently, Paramount's unconventional marketing and distribution of the movie that reportedly cost $11,000 has successfully turned it into a buzz-worthy sleeper hit, and one can presume that its continued success could eventually lead to a nationwide release, or at least let's hope so.

Just caught it last night...definately the scariest movie I've seen in a long long time. Let's just say the last 30 min are suprised then sad. I got home turning on the lights, running up the stairs, and playing Halo till 3:30 while my girl was on the speakerphone cuz she couldnt sleep. I didn't sleep till 5AM and I had work. Call me a pussy, but this movie is creepy. Must watch IMO for people who want a good scare!
