District 9 had a deep plot and I think that people who didn't like it, either didn't understand it or only have tolerance for movies with big explosions shit. >
It was alright, I felt that Wikkus or whatever was a selfish twat. He should have helped the aliens escape and stayed an alien until 3 years or some shit.
He didn't fully utilize the mech too.
my thoughts exactly. I was mad/annoyed at Wikkus's selfishness for his own desire when Christopher wanted to save His people from earth. Seriously if Wikkus Didnt knock Christopher out they would've both be on the ship.
when they both invaded MNU i was like AWE SHIT ITS THE CHIEF AND ARBITER BRINGING ON THE PAIN, hahahaha. i loved that scene, it had more meaning to it than just explosions too.
That's how they addressed current human nature; the greed of one's own selfish benefits.
now why didn't the aliens just kill the nigerians and/or everyone else with their weaponry. don't trade em for catfood. and wikus needs to learn how to use that suit. abuse that lightning cannon(?!? ), the taser thing, and those rocket launchers please

It was a fresh take on alien/sci-fi genre while mixing in some tongue in cheek looks at the current state of the world.
Those who didn't enjoy it probably are the types who thought GI JOE was good.
