Def not the movie of the summer. Transformers took that all ready.

*I almost dosed off during District 9.

I think its a decent movie for the theaters but i dont think it has replay value, meaning ill go back to see it or even buy for my own collection.

Really? Because Transformers was a HORRIBLE MOVIE.

Even the ACTORS AND ACTRESSES of the film could only describe the movie as just a bunch of crazy crashes and explosions.

Buffalo Bills till I die.

zSolo is entitled to his opinion. I understand where he's coming from. If I wanted to see a movie only about action, then I would go see Transformers. If I wanted to see an amazing movie that takes a while to take in because it's a lot to think about, District 9.

Anyway, I think there is also a possibility that this could become a TV show instead of a sequel. Anyone else agree?

Yep i guess the movie that made the most this summer was shitty. But HB opinion vs Gross income of Transformers blushing

Non-the-less i can say this movie was better then quarantine.

But back to District 9, dont want to get off subject.

Ugh.

If you're going into a theater to see a movie/film for only the explosions and violence and shit, you have absolutely no fucking right to critcize. Cinematography is about the blending and mixture of directing, writing, acting, etc. as a whole. This is why I think there should be a difference between MOVIE and FILM. District 9 was an outstanding film, whereas Transformers was a great movie.

Don't mean to be a stickler about this (AKA a dick) but I think you mean "Cinema." Cinematography specifically refers to lighting and camera work, nothing to do with acting, writing or other elemnts of film.

Shit was def not amazing.

Def does not deserve the hype, i wouldent recommend the movie to anyone unless they have seen all the movies that are out. BUT I DID ENJOY THE TRAILERS BEFORE THE MOVIE.

I thought this movie was really good. At first walking out of the theater I was like that was good. But the more I thought about the issues and themes presented in the film the more I liked it.

looking at this makes it a likely chance of having a halo movie.

Zyezye's sort of right...Neil Blomkamp was working his ass off on halo with Peter Jackson and the Weta team in New Zealand and the studios kept dicking around and finally killed the project. Peter Jackson bassically said "Sorry man, here's 30 Million, I'll produce, make whatever you want." So he went back and made his short film, "Alive in Joburg" into a full feature.

He's said in recent interviews that he doesn't even know if he'd do a halo movie now because of how he got treated by the studios over it. He'd rather do his own thing.

They blew their chance at making a decent halo movie and now we're probably gonna get stuck with Michael Bay.

Word. Up went hard.
District 9's enjoyability depended on what level you were watching from, and I don't mean heights

Hmm, anyone else see the resemblance to the Halo Elites. Seems liked he picked it up from the halo movie.

Anyways I watched it today and it was really good. I was satisfied with the ending, hope they make another cause I want Chris to come back lol.
