lol no way. it'd have to be a show that never has an off-day. dexter has too many annoyances. the voiceover, the random subplots, the constant formula of dexter meeting someone, sharing his nature with them, and them ending up dead, the way you-know-who was killed in season 2 in that explosion, and the way certain plot points are kinda glossed over. breaking bad lacks pretty much all of these faults, but true blood only has a few. sons of anarchy also, but in a different way.

edit: forgot mad men, but different kinda beast entirely.

best show on television, no contest.

couldn't agree more. this is where tb really shines, when all the sub plots seem to reach a climax yet still keeps the suspense extremely high at the same time.

and for all those who claim its nothing but soft-core porn, check the series hung and then you'll really see soft-core porn at its finest.

well yeah. tru blood is synthetic, versus drinking from the source. just not as fun.

like imagine we realised chickens were sentient and had to treat them as equals and only eat quorn? especially given that we have the power to kill and consume chickens as we please.

Well this show is kind of doing a parody/comparison to real world issues like race and gay rights (ie vampire marriage and the vampire rights amendment). They were showing how politicians preach one thing then get caught doing the other. In season one this politician used to pay Lafayette for sex/V then went on tv condemning homosexuals and vampires and Lafayette went to his press conference and confronted him. It was hilarious.

i really hope it's not some political parallel kinda thing, because vampires are murderous freaks of nature, and race or sexuality is nowhere near that.

Well it is a political comparison haha. What you said proves it even further. Some people think minorities are all criminals and dangerous and others think gays are freaks of nature and sex perverts etc. Sure there are some from each group that fit the stereotype but there are others who just want to be equal with the mainstream and live peacefully (like Bill and Jessica).

My mom told me she was gonna drop HBO and I told her if she dropped it before True Blood was over I would burn the house down. Next season I should have my own place so it'll be all good.

All vampire related shows and movies suck. . except for BLADE! I am stoked to see Piranha 3D in theaters friday. Finally a sweet movie and someone actually trying to do horror in 3d!
