Someone said they read the book and that Eric kills Russell. I think that's obvious since Russell killed Eric's family.

Ok i have a few questions about this episode, spoiler alert for anyone who hasn't watched it yet.
First off how is Arlene's baby from Rene? They killed him off in the first season. I know the show dosent take any time breaks in between seasons and just keeps continuing but it dosent look like 3 months have passed since rene died. Is she just imagining it?
Next can anyone explain how Franklin survived the first time? It looked like Tara crushed him to nothing.
