it's the exact same model and box that i linked. bought at a toysrus in hong kong. so as far as I know its Bandai. can take pictures to confirm.
would $50 be reasonable? seeing how they sell $60 on ebay.

ill go as high as 40 shipped.you have the launcher base right?

holy shit, kits are cheaper here in japan. like damn, no mark up and sometimes below retail, SINANJU FOR 70 bucks?! WTF. if i had room in my luggage to bring it home i woulda copped it. and unicorn is just 50 bucks and 80 for the one with stand. wtffffffff.

zyezye thats what they go for on gundamstoreandmore.also post you progress pics on that zoid nigradamus.and hood the metal composites have metal parts that i believe are die cast.but i say you shouldve got the master grade kit instead.they have that colorway.thats just me cuz i really like building these things.been lazy lately cuz of a tooth but i got a root canal today so ill be finishing up my latest one tonight then building the stand tomorrow.

just picked up an airbrush and mg destiny and mg 00 qan(t). i use an iwata revolution cr and its one of the best airbrushes out there for the price (got it for $100). as for preshading, i go over edges and panel lines in a neutral grey (if its a white piece), on about 15-20 psi and then go over it in a coat of white, on 20-25 psi. for darker pieces (blue, red, green, etc.) i shade with black and go over in a light coat of the same color. here's my basic formula:
>build segment
>hand-brush small details
>pre-shade/coat exterior pieces
>panel lining, which i do with a thin micron pen
>decals
>topcoat
I will definitely be posting pics of destiny and qan(t) as soon as i get home. as for anyone who plans on airbrushing, your best bet is to go with a gravity feed brush, which can be bought at a local hobby store, and a compressor (I've heard to stay away from propellant cans), which can be purchased at ac moore or michaels, then practice on paper or old, cheap kits. i practiced on my old wing kits, then moved on to some of my mg's. I would do my pg rx-78-2, but its already decaled and weathered, so it would just look funny.

edit: anyone here gonna be doing gundam pickups at comic con this weekend? i know i will.

I remember me growing up and being in awe when seeing Sandrock come up on the screen, so I'm sure I'll buy him first.

Questions:
1. Do you guys know the difference between the New 1/144 Wing kits, as compared to the Original 1/144 Wing kits? The New Sandrock kit is out of stock, so I'm gonna have to go with the Original one.
2. I plan to get decals for the model too.. Is it dumb to get decals for a 1/144 model?
3. What are the necessary things needed to build one of these (an 1/144 model to be exact) properly? In the past, I've just panel lined random parts on my kits, and they didn't turn out so well.
4. How do you guys know when to panel line? Do you guys do everything? Or do you guys use a certain reference ie: box art?

Equipment:
I'm thinking of getting nippers from my cousin to take the pieces from the sprue and removing extra plastic pieces left from the sprue, sand paper, to sand out the uneven edges when putting pieces together, (but I'm not sure what grit), some tweezers to apply the decals (if needed), and a new panel lining pen.

Should I worry about getting Gundam markers to colour some pieces on this kit?

that kit is a a d style kit from kotobukiya.try hlj.com or 1999.co.jp/eng .theyre a little more than sd gundams tend to be so they go for about 20 to 30 bucks a pop.i havent gotten a koto kit yet so im not sure about paint but it should be molded mostly in the right colors.

the old hg 1/144 and the new ones are the same.they just make new ones when needed.its never dumb to get decals if you want some,not even for 1/144.try samueldecal.com or gundamstoreandmore.com.

i dont do panel lines but just use the box art or pics you find online.for gundams you want a less abrasive grit.like really soft so you dont scratch the shit out of it.

you dont need to sand the edges of where it got cut off but since youre just getting back into it you might.i just cut it off as close as i can with the xacto knife and the carefully cut off the excess and make it so it mostly looks like it was never cut off.it takes some patience and also you have to put a tiny amount of spit and then scratch it with your fingernail so itll all be one color.

I can't find an HG of the original Sandrock. I fucking hate how the custom looks, haha. I plan on getting my Gunpla and decals off gundamstoreandmore, as the total price will be a little less than fifteen bucks, which is crazy, so yeah. Thanks for the help guys. Hopefully I'll order it in a couple weeks.
