Toy Pickups

Mar 01, 2008 @ 01:10

holy shit..nice! how much were the stevens?
Mar 12, 2008 @ 22:40
I traded for them, but they're worth about $45 a piece...www.super7store.com has all of them in stock except for the black one. They're nice pieces and I dig Bwana's art, but be warned that some of them have issues with standing - they're in my display case and I have to have them leaning against the wall so they don't fall over every time I open it up.

They're real nice though, about 4 or 5 inches tall so they're a decent size...if you're thinking of buying one, I reccomend the glow + orange one with drumsticks, he's radddd.

yeah, I just really like toys more than shoes right now for three main reasons:

1) No "amazing" shoes have come out in a looooong time, it's getting really stale and repetitive...
2) You can display hundreds of toys at a time whereas shoes are kept in boxes.
3) Toys don't decrease in value everytime you look at them, yet shoes devalue everytime you wear them.

Overall I'm just digging the art aspect to toys more than the art involving shoes. I really think toys might be the next big medium...I like to think of them more as sculptures than actual toys anyways.

That being said, someone sell me a fucking KawsxPushead Companion, please and thanks.
Mar 13, 2008 @ 16:32
I'm not too fond of the GID, I'd rather have a silver or green. Though I would buy a GID to get it customized...there's this one customizer that has done a couple of Kaws x Pusheads that are fucking incredible. Here's one of them:

Mar 14, 2008 @ 20:27
yeah, he's done a couple of kaws things...here are some of the ones on his site:

The last few things I've bought

Mar 18, 2008 @ 02:00
Army building the DrX bearbricks (I dunno if that's what they're called exactly, so I apologise if they're not), milly?

Hahaha, that's cool and even though I'm not into urbal vinyl so much, I can see the appeal of army building. I collect some star wars action figures and sometimes I come across some other peoples' collections, including MASSIVE armies of stormtrooper action figs. I'll try to find a pic as an example to show you guys, but whenever I see the sheer size of some of these i'm always so amazed, hahaha.
Mar 19, 2008 @ 21:55
I'm sorry for intruding...

I am no toyhead or what not, but i came across this and something caught my eye...

The French Series, of Dunny(?)... I would like to purchase the painter one... or the white with paint splots on them in multi colored.. if anyone is kind enough to sell them.

I will put up a picture if i can find it smh

Thanks

Mar 19, 2008 @ 22:22

Yes, that one...

and there's a painter one too...

I wanna get these for my girlfriend who is going to France...

Do you think I should just purchase that one for 21.99? or is there someone i can find cheaper ones?...

Or should i find a store that retails the blind boxes and buy 21.99x2 = 44ish worth of blind boxes?
