Sup HB,

It was about time I re did my portfolio and for the most part its finished aside from uploading more work from the past. I'd love some feedback to see what you guys think, or any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Its good. You use too many fonts in a lot of your design though and having a Bape graphic that isn't yours is sketch. If you're looking to get into design, study the old school guys like Paul Rand and Pentagram.

really appreciate the advice. but there was no intentions on biting anything from bape, just simply using the picture to show my workspace.

I knew you weren't biting, but maybe you should put your own work on there? You don't want to confuse people who might not know what Bape is, or turn off people who really like Bape and think you're putting it there just for cool points.

I would take off Target and Dental Assistant from your resume too.

Design and photography are on point! The only thing that through me off was your favicon lol .. Its like a clipart leaf and doesn't go with the feel of the site. Maybe throw a camo square or the "CD" up there?

Quality stuff, but this style(sign painting) is being done to death. I'm not saying stop doing it, but rather to diversify before it becomes stale for both yourself and clients.

everything about your logo is corny as fuck imo, from the camo to the font to the lil lightning bolt. i would work on that tbh, looks like it took you about 2 minutes in photoshop

Typography is on form, Probably one thing to work on would be the images used, spend a little more time on the vectors. Other than that, solid stuff!

looks good, but kearning is your friend! V in the VAULT way too far away

nikos, the NIK is tight the OS is loose, either tighten or loosen them up

same with exclusives

it all looks good just needs some fine tuning. If you show this to any design firm they will notice it.

I agree with some of the earlier comments, the details mean
everything. Site layout is clean, and skill wise your on point. I think you
should continue to push yourself creatively, I have seen many other designers
with a similar style and at this point it's about standing out. I think in the
next few years this "me too" shit is going to die out. You want to be
at the forefront, leading when this happens while the rest drown. I'm actually
polishing my portfolio and going to put my site together. It's no joke out here
and I have a BFA, which basically means nothing anymore.

looking good! 

the one thing that stood out to me that might sound negative is when you use the type on a path tool in illustrator, you have to manually pull the letters around a bit to get a good fit. its not quite kerning, as it also rotates the letters a bit, so it takes a bit of practice to train your eye, but it will definitely tighten it up. the biggest examples of this to me were the nikos (the N, I, K, touch, nothing else does). 

layout skills are good and will only get better! keep crushing it.

I wouldn't say it means nothing . I have a BFA and its landed me jobs because most corporate places want a BFA minimum.
