Buy a nice vaporiser. Have people smoke you sessions for letting them use it. Saves you in the long rung. Go to Goodwill and cop some decent frames for an show flyers/posters you want to keep. It not only looks better, it will actually preserve them.
Buy a BIG external HDD. Load it with tonnes of TV shows and movies. DVDs are for suckers, be a pirate. People also love to steal DVDs/CDs, so the less physical media you have, the less that can go missing and the less you have to watch over.
Buy something that is lockable and immovable. Most won't think twice about jacking valuables from someone they barely know, so stay safe(pun intended).
IKEA. Expedit shelves look nice and will hold/organise lots of stuff. Lerberg shelves are OD cheap, cheap enough for you to just say 'fuck 'em' on moving day, but they are more utilitarian looking than the Expedit. Expedit also offer modular additions like drawers/doors/desks/etc..
