Im not sure whats being put on the belts as far as a finish coat or anything, but Ive seen some guys asking about protecting the leather so I thought I would chime in. I use Fiebings aussie leather conditioner, or a thin layer of Fiebings Tan-kote on all my bike seat, keeps em pretty waterproof and the dyes or finishes dont bleed or run.

I am small one man company from Ohio. Besides operating my small business I am a student of the fine arts and art history at Wright State University. I hand cut and stitch all of my works from 100% American made materials. I use three companies for leather sources, Horween of Chicago, Wickett & Craig of Pennsylvania and Hermann Oak of St. Louis, Missouri. For my stitching thread I use the Maine Thread Co. located in Maine. For burnishing my edges I use bees wax from a local family farmer.

Description is right, after a few months with it, it'll all blend in with the normal patina.

I ordered my bifold wallet from faler. (see three posts above).

John is a pretty smart and nice guy, he asked me several times how I want my wallet to look like so that it turns out just the way I imagined it.

I'll keep you updated on the progress.

As said some posts above I was looking for a decent wallet with 4-5 card slots and a coin department in veg. tanned leather and this is how it turned out.
