H&M Denim

Sep 13, 2009 @ 23:12
H&M use to have some nice skinny cheap denim before, i use to have a few of them. They were around $50 but i guess they dnt make them anymore, they should bring those out again.

i stopped wearing H&M stuff because everybody had like the same jeans, hoodies or shirts. Seems like everyone shops their in NYC SMH!!

I checked out the raw Sliqs today. They're $40.

Do they stretch or shrink?

I tried on size 31, was a little bit tight.
Sep 15, 2009 @ 18:51
They stretch, mine stretched about .5 to 1" in the waist

You have fit pics of yours, Tech? I know you're a skinnier Vietnamese dude, but I'd still like to see how they fit you. Did they bleed a lot?

I'll post fit pics tomorrow when I go try them on again.

I never took fit pics of them and I sold them, sorry man..

If I remembered, they had a nice amount of room in the thighs and a good taper. No issues with the rise, back pocket fitting (i.e. diaper ass)..

And I think they had a fair amount of bleeding, not too much, but if your wearing white shoes you'll get that indigo ring for sure.

No diaper ass.

I went to go try on some Sliqs today. Not sure if they're raw; the back stitching was different:

Sliq 32 (Organic):

What the fuck does that mean? Organic cotton = raw?

What do you guys suggest? 31 or 32? Obviously, 32 was loose, but I heard they stretch. More pics if wanted.

Stay true to size, they will only shrink up to 3/4 of an inch in the wash and they will strech out a little bit.

Alex, I read that you work at H&M.

What's the difference between the Organic Cotton and the regular Sliq?

I didn't see anything on either of the 2 pairs that said they're raw.

And which fit is better? 31 or 32?

(32 is a bit loose in the waist)

There is no difference between the two, in face they're the same, denim is cotton, so the only difference between organic cotton sliq fits and the regular sliq fits is that the ones labelled 'organic cotton' were made using cotton that came from plants that weren't given pesticides. They will wash, shrink and stretch the exact same so there's no worries.

Also, I've noticed that H&M waist sizes fit a little bigger than that of other denim brands like Levis. So if I were you I'd stay true to size, if you size up the pant leg will probably be a little bit wider.
Sep 16, 2009 @ 20:19
How high does H&M Denim run because I never find my size.
Sep 16, 2009 @ 20:31
the low waist denim is a bit weird

but they sell waxed denim now for 30$

so its whatever but the quality is very subpar

Thanks for the info, Alex.

So you suggest staying with 31? Hot soak, let them shrink, and then wear?
Sep 16, 2009 @ 23:05
I'm a noob
Now that that's out of the way, my first pair of raw denim are my H&M Sliqs. I've worn them for about three months now and I like them a lot. The waist has stretched out, but it's not obnoxiously big 'cause I wear a belt and the length is great. For $40 I'd say its a steal.

Doesn't bother me, they fit good and you wouldn't be able to notice. I'm very thin and it's hard for me to find skinny jeans that fit the way i want.
