I posted this in the APC thread, but I need it to get more views from people who know about stretching APCs

Hey,

After all the hype and reading I finally decided to purchase a pair of these jeans. They are absolutely great quality and I like being able to "start from scratch"

I like my jeans LOOSE (borderline baggy), as I have big thighs and am athletic. I am 5'10" 174 and my waist is usually a 34 or 33.

I tried on some pairs in the Soho store this past Tuesday...I chose the Rescue style because I wanted them borderline baggy. Basically, the clerk gave me a 32 (my waist is 33 or 34), and I LOVED THEM. Thigh's had a good clearance, jeans were loose, waist was just right.

I showed the clerk and he told me to go down another size and after stretching I would achieve the same look as I had with the 32's.

Here are some pics of my 31s---I have worn them 8 full days and while the waist seems a bit looser (never had an issue with it being too tight so its all good), the thighs don't seem to be getting as loose as those 32s.

Am I just being paranoid and I need to give it time, or do I still have time to take em back and get the 32's?

Let me know what you think:

too tight \/

Oh and PLEASE disregard my room---was my high school room, I'm out of college now workin and looking for a place, so room hasn't been touched in years.

Thanks for the input.

Do you REALLY believe that the thighs will stretch to the point at where the 32s were stock?

I just have a really hard time believing it because these suckers are too tight on my thigh

Will APC take em back in exchange for a larger size even though they have been worn? The clerk told me to go down an additional size after I had already gone down 2.

Stretch in them. Sleep in them (if possible). Wear them as much as you can. Go for a bike ride. Shoot hoops in them. They should eventually stretch. You went for what sz. again?

Your clerk is right.

My waist is 32, i sized down 3, and my jeans are getting baggy every chance I wear them. You will eventually achieve the same size as you first wanted them because APC selvedged denim stretches A LOT...like 1-2 inches in your thighs and waist.

And by the looks of the fit pics, those will get baggy pretty soon after 4 weeks.

A 31 per the clerks recommendation, I am normally a 33/34

Duck, do you have rescues?

Thanks for the words of advice everyone, I will keep them and hopefully they will get to my liking. I will post fit pics in 3 weeks or so.

Well I am probably up to around 14 days or so, thighs are loosening a bit but still tight overall from the knee up.

hip hop or not, i'm not fat or chubby.

rescues are for us normal-waisted and large-thighed people, which is why I didnt choose the NC or NS

They will eventually stretch out, u have to wear them everyday and do everything in them... U will see a stretch about a month or 2 and will give u that fit you want but u have to be patient. Dont worry, u arent going to ruin them if u wear them everyday and dont wash em!
