Totally not true lol. I've seen a lot of peeps under 5'10 rocking diors rly nicely. (unhemmed).

Yes the CM is how big the openings are, but they are for size 32 iirc. So - 0.5 cm for every size smaller than 32 and +0.5cm for every size larger than 32. It's not exact but it's approximate. Also, it definitely varies by season and wash. I have two pairs of 28, 19cms and they fit completely different. Both are MII. One fits at least a full size smaller than the other razz

As for black jeans, I would say maybe get a pair of super slenders, silver selvage raw black, or just mij blacks. All three are very nice.

for MIJ ones, the there is very little space between the Dior Tag and the Size tag. MII one's have a lot more space (10 cmconfused
I usually check by looking at the tags, including the washing instructions ones.

Ask him to post a picture of him measuring the waist of the jeans. Raws are known to stretch a full size+, but to be safe just measure your own and ask him to for pics of measurements.
