size down 1 in the ST-100x, i know they look tight on me but they are a nice slim fit actually.

Yeah, the 30 is a tagged 31.5, but I'd probably size down to the 29 for the slim fit that you mentioned.

Copped the black straigt legs (SL-200x) from selfedge with the coupon during the weekend. at least the price was right on these, cant wait to try them on, they got shipped today cool

it really doesnt matter if they are your first jeans. Theyre priced pretty close. If you want something unique get 3sixteens. If you just want raw denim for the quality and looks get APC

F/22 you said quality & looks get APC. Why would you say that the quality & looks of APC are better then 3sixteens?

NVM I saw your post in the APC thread, thanks! I think you got me sold on the 3Sixteens.


But, how will I size.. do I get the 32 waist? My true size is a 34 & on selfedge it says it stretches out about .5" & 3Sixteens tagged 32 is a 33.5" waist.

Haha yeah, I can't decide from ST & SL I think I might go with SL.
ST looks like it might be too tight on my body build, especially since the model on selfedge looks like a stick.

SL = Straight leg
ST = Slim Fit

& I don't think any of them have tapers, when I look at the measurements on Selfedge they both have the same leg opening. I would have to say that the ST is more of like Levi's 514s but skinner?

I am going with the SL, do these sell out quick cause I don't know if I am going to buy ASAP

the sl straight fit has a slight taper knee down, as the leg opening is not the same as the knee measurements
the st is the same
as for selling out, email selfedge

I was reading through the thread & 3sixteen said not to size down but if I went true to size then it would be bigger then my true waist according to the selfedge measurements.

I am thinking of sizing down two with the SL-100x but I don't know what to do now! I am so confused.

depending on the fit you want, get a size 31, which measures 32.5 or a size 32, which measures 33.5
you MIGHT want to check out naked and famous

Lol, definitely not going with a 31. I am going to get the ST sized down 1.
I talked to neatotorpedo who owns a pair & sized down 1. He seems to know a lot about it & I think I will go with the ST sized down 1.. since the denim will stretch quite a bit in the legs & such it will probably be the perfect fit I am looking for like this:



I know those are APC NS & I really want 3Sixteen's so I think after all the stretching the 3Sixteen TS will be the most closest fit.

My only complaint with the SL's I had was the leg opening. A slightly more taper would have been perfect. Maybe I'll try the ST's.

I am also thinking about getting the STs, but I think I would just size down one so I can get that nice slim fit when it stretches out.

Or would sizing down 3 on SL be good? I am hesitant about it though.
God damnit, choosing a pair of jeans online is so hard! I wish I could just fly over to SF & try them on.

I AM SOLD ON THE ST's. I'll buy them when they restock next week! Can't wait

I just can't decide between black or indigo. Black will take longer to fade right?
