My second pair of raw denim but my first pair of selvage. There is no contest between these and my nudies. Rise could be a bit lower for me but I'm you're typical average height eastern male. These are 28's and my original waist is 30 so in short sized down two. I'm about a centimetre away from being able to button the top button and I've only had them on for five or so minutes. The denim quality is unarguably amazing, I scraped off some skin from my thumb trying to get them on.

In general:

. Size down 1 from your true waist ( I sized down two and with hindsight I should have gone one)
. Rise is higher slightly higher than APC PS
. I love them and can't wait to get these hemmed

We tried to put the price increase off for the past year and a half. Cotton prices are part of it, and the stronger yen against the dollar is another reason for it. Labor costs certainly aren't going down. We're still committed to offering an excellent jean for the cost, and we think that at $215 it's still competitively priced.

Okay I've never owned a pair of 3sixteen before. After going through this thread I'm definitely curious about them. Now i prefer selvedge but I can do otherwise. I wear a 35 in the APC New Standard. I'm 5'10" 215lbs so I'm no skinny dude and like my denim fitted but not tight...Which style and size would you guys refer for me?

Get the SL's the ST is surprisingly really slim. I'm not sure how you'd size though, I reckon size true to size with 3 Sixteens the waist doesn't stretch much at all from my experience so far.

You should go with the SL-100x as they're most similar to the APC NS. You'd probably end up in a size 34. If you' are close to one of our stores, stop in and try them on. Restocks ship out to all accounts this week.

We feel that no other brand can offer a better value at this price point considering the quality of both the fabric and construction. The denim on these jeans is woven specifically for 3sixteen and they've got the papers to prove it. A close relationship with Kuroki Mills of Okayama (Japan) and a few visits to the mill itself yielded a set of custom fabrics which we guarantee will not be available on any other jean on the market. Designed specifically for both comfort and aging qualities, these are your best bet for a well made 5-pocket jean which is cut & sewn in America.

The guys at Put This On did a little piece on why your money is better spent on a pair of 3sixteen jeans than a pair of APC jeans which are now made in Macau China, read the piece here.

Definitely go up a size to the 29. They should not be skin tight and you should be able to button all the way to the top; a littl snug is ok, that definitely sounds like a size too small.

i'm a size 32 and got a size 31 since the waist will stretch a little bit. it would be in your best interest to go into a store and try it on though

i do know they will stretch

Perfectly normal. After a few wears, it'll stretch.
