thanks andrew, i actually got the tellasons but returned them because i didnt like the fit (too loose), I'm thinking about getting new cures or st-100x because the cut would fit me better since i'm skinny. does anyone know if new cures fit the same as st-100x?

I wouldn't say the New Cures and the ST-100x's fit exactly the same, but both have lean thighs that taper down to a small leg opening... both would be slimmer than the Ladbroke Grove.

Aside from fit, APC's use raw selvedge with a very two-dimensional fade. They used to be made in France but are now made in Macau, and the quality has taken a major hit. If you live near a Barneys in SF, LA, NY, or Boston, grab our jeans and theirs and put them side by side. I think you'll notice a big difference.

All the sites ive checked only have like sizde 29 in the ST-100's anyone know when their going to restock?

Currently, Barneys has full stock on the ST-100x from 29-36:

Andrew, do you know when the ST-220 is releasing?

I'm talking about the midnight navy overdyed denim that fades to blue. Thanks!

That jean you're referring to is the ST-211 (replaces the ST-210). The 220x denim is our double black selvedge denim (black warp, black weft). This jean should release in about a month, hopefully sooner.

Just for everyone's information, here is a breakdown of our model nomenclature.

SL/ST refers to cut (SL = Straight Leg, ST = Slim Tapered)

100x = Raw Indigo Selvedge
120x = Indigo / Black Selvedge (coming Fall 2011)
200x = Raw Black Selvedge
211 = Overdyed Black
220x = Double Black Selvedge
300 = Raw Grey

and x denotes selvedge.

Hope this helps!

The Slim Raw Indigo at $198 are the ST-100x.

The $250 jeans are a Barneys exclusive jean, indigo dyed left hand twill, super crunchy. The style # is SL-BNY1.

We're in the middle of another run of SL-100x; in the meantime, you can always give Bergdorf Goodman a call. Ask for Christopher, the denim specialist on the 3rd floor. He can do a phone order for you.

Thanks,but I don't particularly need a pair right now. I'm still wearing my st-210's. Do you know when the next run will be available? Also, is this going to be to the last run?

We still have stock in size 28 in our online store:

shop.3sixteen.com/collections/bottoms/products/sl100x-straight-raw-indigo-selvedge-denim

All measurements of the jean are posted on the page; in general, all our jeans are vanity sized 1" or so. I would say that in general people will buy 1 size up from their APC NC or PS.

Are the ST-100x same fit as the APC PS?

I've been debating whether to get a the ST-100x 28 or the APC PS 28.

I definitely love the PS fit, and i want to know if the ST's fit the same way.
I want a nice taper like the PS.

I feel like I'd like the smaller opening of the APC PS...

If I got the ST-100x would it be advisable to taper them?
I mean 6.5 to 7.1 is a bigdifference leg opening i think

Well its 6.75 vs 7.1 but yea thats still a pretty small leg opening either way... you shouldnt think about a taper until you try them first though ahaha

What's the deal with the chainstitching on the ST-100x. Would I be able to go to any odd tailor to get it done? Also if I did size down a waist size too small will the waist stretch out on these as much as any other raw denim?

In all honesty, wear pattern has just as much to do with lifestyle as it does with washing (or length of time before washing, rather). My ST-100x's have been washed 6 times over the course of a year and still show great wear and contrast. Dayro's look great and will continue to age very nicely, I think.

I've got a bunch of jean evolution photos that we've taken recently. I'll post them up in here soon.

I bought the last pair of St-100x off your site about a week or two ago and it arrives tomorrow. Whats the difference between the Kuroki and Kaihara? Which one of the two is mine?

You're receiving the denim from our most recent run, which is the Kuroki 14.5oz. This is our flagship denim going forward and it's custom developed by us in conjunction with Kuroki in Okayama and is exclusive to us, which means no other denim brand can have access to it. It's got good heft to it and ages beautifully, and one unique quality is the open ended weft yarn which gives the inside a very soft (almost brushed) feel to it even though it's a raw pair of jeans. We hope you enjoy them!
