It's the opposite... NC are slimmer in thigh, straighter below the knee,
PS are roomier in the thigh, more taper below the knee.

No.. New cures are tapered all the way down, petite standards are tapered from the knee down...

But im doing it on purpose to get them to stretch faster.

Ah, shoulda said that then. Although my pair I can't sag it past my belly button so I gave up, maybe I will donate it.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a pair of denim that will fit similar to my APC NS (sized down two) that I am looking to retire. My budget is anything $200 and lower. As much as I'd like to cop another pair of these, I really want to try another brand. So if anyone has any suggestions please let me know, thanks.

when you say "size down 3" or "size down 2" is that from true waist or from tagged size?

say I was 30'' true waist. If I sized down 3 what tagged size would it be

Not all tagged sizes correspond to the true sizes. For example, a tagged 30 in APCs would be more like a true 32. That's where sizing comes into play. Your goal is to go true to size (this is an assumption) to get the desired fit. Sizing down 2 in APCs would give you your true waist size. So you size down 2.

If sizin down refered to true sizes, then all denim would size the same. You could just say go tts in apc, go tts in Edwin, go tts in sugarcane. But you don't. That's because all denim has diff tagged sizes for the same true size. The lack of universal sizing is an indication that "sizing down/up _" refers to tagged sizes; otherwise people would just say "go tts in skulls" (they would be referring to true size not tagged).

So sizing refers to tagged sizes not true.

has anyone been to the store in SoHo?
I'll be in that area tomorrow and plan on coppin my first pair of raw denim.
I've been searchin this thread and just wanna confirm some things I picked up since all of these APC "rules" are kinda debateable.

1) From skinny to loose is this how it goes? NC-PS-NS-Rescue?
2) Sizing down. I wear 30X30 in Levis (29's actually fit snug though) Will the 28 in Petite Standards achieve the slim look I'm looking for?

Thanks blushing
first post.

Technically this the wrong topic I guess but still...help?

go try em on, the best advice I can give. even if the top button doesn't do up make sure you find the right fit in other areas as these suckers stretch and fast!
