You size down from true size. The standard of sizing down 2 is from true size. But going an extra down to accomodate more stretching isn't thought of as only 1 down, its 3 down.
Sizing down 2 means you are a true 32, and you buy a tagged 30. THAT'S IT. A tagged 30 might measure 32", but that doesn't matter, you still sized down 2.
and I'm not trying to be a douche either, but the Official APC thread is 600 pages long. And the entire thread is people all saying different things. Some say to take your actual waist measurement while others say to take the measurement of your best fitting pair of jeans. And then with the downsizing, everyone has a different opinion on whether it should be 1, 2, 3 or some even say 4. So its pretty confusing and overwhelming to someone who is looking for their first pair of raw denim. And when a noob asks for help from you guys, some of you jump down our throats for not knowing that the answer to our question was posted 285 pages ago.
