fuck...the only thing is that my levi's are a little too skinny now (i measured after i washed them) so after i soak the 005''s the measurements are going to be almost identical.. probably off by about .5 or smaller. should i just buy the 005's in 33s?? \

here are my measurements.

waist-34
front rise-10
back rise-13
upper thigh -11
knee-8
leg opening-7
inseam-31

Is the raw better then the one wash?

^Imo, one wash and raw don't really differ in any major way. My one wash 007s stretched out to around the same measurements as the the raw 007s.

They are the exact same thing, except the one-wash has been pre-shrunk for you. One is not better than the other.

Just get the right cut.
You spent a couple hundred and you still need them altered?
If you can always return

if it's too late then ya alter just take it to a very good tailor also you can probably trade on sufu.

Personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with tapering as long as you have someone do it without touching the selvage line. Plus, if he bought the 005 cut, he can't really go slimmer than that with PBJ anyway.

Actually the 013's and the 011's already have a tapered leg so i just sent my 005's back for an exchange. Thanks for the advice i didnt't want to have to send my 005's in to the denim doctors...

I actually got the 013's because they didn't have the 011's in my size but they both fit the same so it's all good

Yeah, I mean I am not against tapering I just meant that if he can get a pair that is slimmer, why not? Tapering (unless done right) can lead to results one does not like. It also can cost quite a bit of money.

The only way I would think tapering is just plain dumb is if the denim is not a special edition model, and someone buys a loose cut they don't even like when they can get the same exact denim that company uses, just a slimmer cut. But I see the samueljwl retuned his (her) for a slimmer version.

Just be aware that the 013s are a little bit looser in the thigh than the 005s. Aside from the leg opening, the 005s are the slimmest men's cut that PBJ makes.

Just got my 0013's in the mail today. Fuckin excited to start breaking these in, they fit way better presoak than the 005's. Quick question though, presoak inside out or regular side.

For soaking, it doesn't really matter. There's no agitation, so the indigo loss would be pretty much the same either way.

Yea...I just did a hot soak yestarday and the waist/thigh area is on point but I think I might do another hot soak for the knee down. There's kind of a small calf flare so a soak should hopefully fix it

^^

i got the 0013's their the best fit for me imo cuz im pretty skinny. I'm 6'2-'3 like 165-170.

I tried the 005's and the straight leg was murder for me. so i got the tapered leg 013's. Ill put fit pics up after i soak the knee tonight. i might have to get a hem if the soak doesn't do much

Does anyone know if resoaking just the knee down is a bad idea? I'm trying to get a more shrinkage in the inseam and a lil in the leg opening.

you should just post pics as they are right now, It sounds odd that you want a shorter inseam when it measures 35" and your 6'2"

I thought that 35" would be too small

It's not a bad idea, but it probably won't make a huge difference either if you've soaked already.
