I think that the PBJ XX-013 cut is probably the closest to the APC NS out of everything they have.

didn't he say LESS slim than the NS? I thought the 013's are pretty slim.. wouldn't the 007's be better? though the 007's are a bit slimmer than the 013's at the thigh, they aren't tapered (or nearly as tapered) at the leg opening.

The 007s are slimmer in the top block and thighs than the 013s. They are cut straighter in the lower leg, so the leg opening is indeed bigger. That's why I recommended the 013s, the cut is more comparable to the NS, which is tapered as well. For slimness, I would say that the 013s and the NS are pretty comparable, but PBJ doesn't have any other cuts that are "a little less slim" than the NS unless you get into their relaxed cuts, which are a lot looser.

I'd say the xx-013, the xx-011 is also tapered but judging from the measurements it's really slim knee down.

I agree, the XX-013 and XX-011 (they are cut exactly the same as each other nowadays) is probably your best bet for something close to the XX-005 but tapered. The 011/013 is going to be a little bit roomier in the thigh and top block than the 005, but I'd still consider it a slim fit.
