Yo guys, if I'm like a 30.5 in waist, you think a 29 would be coo? If it matters xx005 cut, and as for the xx005 BK's shits are indigo dyed? Like they fade noticeably unlike other black denim? Because I read earlier posts and people were saying like the jeans were indigo dying their shit.

Yeah, that size should work good for you if you want a slim fit. If you want a little bit more of a regular fit, go with a 30.

The XX-005BK is not indigo dyed, but it fades like the indigo models, except in black.

I don't own a pair of the XX-011s, but I do own a pair of the XX-013s, which supposedly fit exactly the same now. If this is true, I would size down 2. The XX-013s run big and don't shrink as much as advertised.

They're really different from each other as far as high end Japanese brands go. Pure Blue Japan tends to use lighter (14.5 oz.), slubbier unsanforized denim and all-cotton stitching. They fade pretty fast, you see some of the most impressive high-contrast fades with PBJ.

Iron Heart tends to use heavier (21 oz.) sanforized denim that isn't slubby at all. They use poly-core stitching, and they fade relatively slow. Iron Heart is arguably the most durable of the high-end Japanese denim brands.

picked up a pair of XX-011 from BiG couple of days ago. Got the one-wash in 29... When I tried them at the store the first time they were a bitch to put on and with a bit of struggle I was able to button all the way up... I got them hemmed and picked up the next day and they already felt a bit looser (easier to put on).

I'm kinda worried that the waist is gonna stretch wayyyyyy too much now... I'm not really worried about the fit down the rest of the leg, but hoping I'm not gonna have this denim fall off my waist..

oh and this shit bleeds like a mfer

wear a belt and try to prevent whatever stretch you can.
If it does stretch out to much, soak/wash in hot water.
Should shrink back then repeat process with belt.

My one-wash XX-007s were the same way when I got them, extremely difficult to button up initially. They did stretch out to a comfortable fit, but never near the point where they were close to falling off of my waist. The XX-007 denim isn't the exact same as the XX-011 denim, but I can't imagine that the XX-011s would stretch to the point where they would be falling off of your waist if they were that difficult to button up initially. I think you'll be fine.

I do agree that you should wear a belt if you are worried about too much stretch, that will minimize it.

Yeah, you'll get some extra fading where the belt is, especially where the edges of the belt rub against the jeans. It's not a big amount more than what you get elsewhere on the jeans though, in my experience.

thanks for the tips guys

i always wear a belt with my denim so hopefully that'll be good enough

on another note... i got some nasty fukcing fade on my right front pocket from having my usb stick in there and then carrying my luggage the whole day and having it rub against the usb stick... basically the result is some super faded spot on my right pocket thats in the shape of a corner... fuck.

If you want something slim and tapered, I would go with the XX-011 or XX-013. From my experience with these, they run a little bit big, I would size down 1 or 2 depending on how skinny you want them to fit.

The 007s also run a little bit big in the waist, so it is recommended to size down 1 or 2 on them as well. The 007s will have a slightly slimmer thigh than the 11 or 13, but they are straight leg, not tapered like the 11 or 13, so they will have a bigger leg opening.
