just got a pair of BiGxPBJ XX-013 in the mail today, i really like how they fit raw....but of course i have to soak em so these 31s are probably going to be exchanged for a 32

ya i think so too, but the problem is these need to be soaked which means theyre going to get tighter...i havent decided if im going to exchange yet

btw how are your skulls doing? i would kill for a brand new pair of skulls size 31 in the old texas cotton like the ones i sold u

if you want you can just wear them damp. it'll be uncomfortable for 1-2 hours but itll fit like the raw again except stretched out in the right places

the problem is that anything below me knees prob wont stretch back out, it'll prob stay skin tight looking..which isnt what im going for

The skulls are doing fine right now. Not to much wear because the weather though.

And if they shrink alot I would jus exchange them because your going to end up washing/drying in the future which would make them shrink more..

I'm assuming you're going to order 1 wash 007? size down 1, get size 28 because 1 wash size 28 is a 29 waist. But it will also stretch out a bit so it should fit nice and relaxed, I'm a size 29 and I tried on a 1 wash size 28 at big and they fit great, a bit tight but it will stretch.

autobot tom, may i ask how you sized on your apc ns? I want the same fit as you lol.

If you want you could also try the blue in green xx-013, it's the same fit as pbj/005/007 and it's produced by pbj (shoaiya japan), slightly cheaper.

my new standard pair doesnt have a size tag on it i dont know why.

my new standard pair doesnt have a size tag on it i dont know why.

these are pics of day 1 fit. after about 1 hr of streching i finally buttoned up.

hope they help. sorry bout the nasty boxer hahahh.

just put them into hot water for an hour or something? some guys told me to put in a washing machine after hot soak. i dont really know to use the washing machine in my house, it has a auto system that does spin dying after every wash - -
does it matter a lot if i just soak without a wash in the pre shrink?

Fill up your bath or a bucket full of hot/warm/cold water, depending on how much you want them to shrink. Let them soak for like a hour

those will come out nice post soak.

get a smaller volume container than a tub fill it up with boiling water itll get a good amount of shrinkage out.

my PBJs XX-011 pre-soak pictures. demin are as stiff as hell and i cold soak them for about 3 hours (thats what the dude at the denim store told me to do) but the denim is still incredibly stiff and there isnt any difference to the fitting/color of the indigo.

may i know isit advisable to hot soak (warm or really hot water

them to let the denim be softer? and how long should i soak them for?

i can only button 3/5 of them PBJs buttons after my first cold soak wear tho

Three hours? That dude was misinformed. You wasted a good 2.25-2.5 hrs.. Next time use the hottest tap water you can for about half an hour. Temperature make a LOT more of a difference than does the amount of time.

But if you can only button 3/5 after a mere cold soak you definitely need to size up at least a size.

How were they before you soaked them? If they shrank minimally then they probably fit pretty snug before you even soaked them. Knowing how they fit before you soak gives is important because they dictate how they'll fit afterward and if they don't work out gives you the opportunity to exchange them for another pair.

i can button up all the buttons i guess if i tried hard enough i guess lol cause the last 2 takes quite sometime to button on.

i see that temperature does affect. the fit pre and post cold soak is very much the same abnd its quite snug so idk if i were to do a hot (boiling water) soak will it shrink too much. if it does can i just wear it at home till it expands out? my main goal here is actually to allow the denim to be softer not really about the shrinkage.

well you have to let it shrink...it is suggested.

You did waist time soaking for 3 hours especially in cold water...

Anyways it is advised to let your denim shrink considering they are unsanforized so you actually get the correct fit. Usually soaking denim will stiffen them up when they are dry. It is raw denim so just wearem out good to soften them up.

soaked them. i did only put them in hot water, havent touched them till them cold down after 1 hour putting them in the water.
here is a post soak pic. i dont know if they were fully shrunk. i pretty wonder if the whiskers would move after 1st wash months later because the unfully shinkage.
