I just mentioned that OMG had a lot of 501xx STFs in most sizes, but I guess you already have some. I tried them on for myself, and was not really feeling them, but hopefully, they turn out nice for you.

this is about that first wash, I know I should wait(it's been 3 months). I'm getting kinda impatient though but I want to know, for that first wash do you just wash them like any other pair of jeans that aren't raw?

Hey. I'm new here. Just bought 501xx STF 33/34 from mervyn's. (normal size is 32/32) first thing i did when i got home was soak them in the bath in hot hot water for 1/2 hour. then i kept getting impatient to try them on so i took them to the gym and had them in the sauna for about 15-20 mins. still not dry. next day tried them and they are awesome. very stiff..keep the combs/whiskers nicely. not bad for a pair of pants 1/3-1/4 the cost of raw/selvedge...kinda found out that if u want selvedge...its gunna be atleast an extra 100...probably gunna get those WeSC standards after i get tired of these. these are a great pair to start with and i didnt wanna mess up 150-250 dollar jeans my first try.

What size are you in 511s? It looks like you have skinny legs, so why not stick with 511s instead of 520s?

yeah, im totally cool with 511's, the fit is dope.
but there are some fits that i like to wear that require just a tad bit more bagginess,
so im trying to find some levis that would cater to that.

I'm a size 30 in 520s, and those aren't as tight as 511s, so I'll probably be a 32-33 in 511s.


Which would look really gay on me.

my roommate/homie has a pair of 511s, he keep complaining that he can't rock em right cause his thighs are too big.

So if you're a 30 in 520s, that would make me around 28-29?

I can't really sag much 'cause I wanted more tapered and less sag. If I wanted sag, I would've chose 32.


And how do the 511s look on your friend? I have to get back and try bigger sizes for 511s soon.

dang, i tried to find a pic with him in it, but no luck.

well, it looks fine from the knees down, it's just cause he has more muscular thighs than i do, the jeans wrap skin tight around his thighs, so it looks like a drumstick.
