hey was talking to some 1 and he was saying 501xx STF are not raw but rigid...imitation raw. this true? feel/look raw to me. love these jeans

rigid means it gives the feel of raw denim.

raw denim, since its unwashed, has a way more darker indigo colour almost looking like black and has a sheen to it.

lol really? Most people I asked liked the back pockets the most... All I did was cut the seams, flip them inside out and sew 'em on backwards. Thanks for the input anyway. Does anybody else have an opinion or helpful tips?

Has anyone noticed that black stfs fit different than the blue? I have a pair of black ones that I've been wearing for like a month, and even with the stretching that they've got in that time, the blue ones I just bought in the same size (33x36) last wk. are a little wider than them. The blue ones are longer too. Do all of them have this size difference, or did I just get a weird pair somehow?

OK so i bought some 501xx STFS and i shrank them and stuff...been wearing them and decided that i need to shrink the waste by like inch...inch an half. so do i just soak the top portion of the pants? and will this make the color uneaven since they will be losing color only from the top half?

if you want too get the biggest cooking pot you have have the jeans hang of the side with the waist touching the bottom and fill it up just to the waist line, just maybe a quarter inch past the belt loops , and boil it. plus since you said you already shrank them and i assume that meant u soak them doing. that wont affect the colour. water just takes away loose dye. friction and wear are the only things that loosens the dye.

i ono its weird when i lay down with my jeans without a shirt i can see like...2-3 inches of room...like HELLA room. but when i stand up theyre hella comfy. i like my jeans pretty roomy tho i guess...and theyre not to the point where i can pull them off if i try. so i ono maybe ill just keep em like this. i skate so its more comfy with the room. when i stand up, the jeans are like inch and half away from my waiste but hella comfy so w/e mayb ill shrink them...but w/e.

about a good 1 or 2 inches, i doubt 3. thats why i would go true to size with stfs

I bought some pre-washed 501's. Will they shrink AT ALL? Because they are nice and snug but if I wash them and they do shrink then they probably wont fit me anymore.

they shouldnt...the 501s that every one on here usually talk about are 501xx STF (shrink to fits). so pre washed means they have pretty much been pre-shrunk. so they should be fine. 501xx STF are awesome tho. look great feel great, great for the price. i love mine. crease hella easy 2

fuck...i had some nice ass honey combs and whiskers in my 501s that i had been wearing for like...a week. then i decide that the pants are like...really 2 big after the first soak..which was like 30 mins. so i decide to soak them again for 45 mins this time to shrink them a bit more. now my honey combs are gone and so are my whiskers....i think they shrunk 1/4 of an inch at most....fuck lol o well w/e they were dirty anyway from skating...not gunna skate in them anymore.

Honeycombs, whiskers and all that come back after more wear.

Also, while they are still damp after soaking it's ideal to stretch the inseam yourself as to not lose any length.

wear them when they're starting to dry up so your combs and whiskers get set

best advice ever. i remember cats used to put extra strength spray on starch on em too. and using sand paper on the knees and shit and back pockets for faster fades.
