levis 501s are fucking ugly, they are shrink to fit.. but not raw? so if u wash them ur "honeycombs" will be gone unless u waer them for like 5 years..

I'm 5'7 and 135lbs so I have kinda fat thighs. So which pair would stretch out more 520 or 511

520.

But after a short time (2-3 weeks), 520s will stretch so badly in the thighs.

about to cop some lvc 501 47s for half off. they have a 32x34 and a 30x34. my regular waist size is a 32, so should i size down 2 like apc?

edit: i just read some stuff on sufu saying that i should size up one for a normal fit and stay true to size for a slimmer fit?

no, the creases should be made by then and still stay so that even when you wash, the old creases will still show through

Alright thanks.

Also I just noticed that my right leg looks more define and better than my left... I don't know how that happened...

They are STF so size up two for waist.

A 32 actually measures in between a 31-32 in the waist and will shrink down to a 29.5 and stretch to a 30-31. That inseam is going to shrink down to a 31 (WACK!)

Okay so here's my problem... For Christmas I got a pair of 30x30 (Normal size, no size down) 511s stretch. They fit pretty well I guess but I'd like them to be a little bit tighter.

If I warm soak them for an hour, will they be noticeably tighter or will the shrinking be so little I won't notice it?

OR should I just wash them cold inside out and dry them for a little bit in the dryer?

Thanks.

I might pickup a pair of the 501 STFs tomorrow for my first pair of "denim", but I was wondering if theres any real differences between the 501xx STFs and the regular 501 STFs. Is the quality of one better than the other?

And sorry for asking again, but I just want to make sure, if I should be buying true to size or size up/down. I tried on a pair of size 30/30, and I had alittle bit of space left on the waist which was probably about half an inch (give or take), so I tried on size 31, but those were to big overall. So should I just stick with size 30? Will washing them shrink them too much?

Thanks for any help.

noob question:

ok, I've always rocked apc denim so I don't know much about Levis... so my question is - what exactly is LVC denim? and where can I buy some LVC denim (preferably online)?

thanks

LVC is levi's vintage collection that has higher quality rather then mainstream levis you see today.

You can find LVC denim at www.cultizm.com and maybe the levi's site in the LVC section

Thanks a bunch fam smile

btw, when I need to wash them should I put them in the washing machine, dry clean them, or treat them as raw denim and wait like 5 months between soaks?

thanks in advance again

OK, I normally wear a size 34x34 and I'm looking to get some LVC's. So, should I just get true to size with a longer inseam or go 36x38 to deal with the shrinking?

Dont call me stupid but yesterday. I went to khols for some plates. I'm walking down the aisle to checkout and I see a levis sign. I turn and bam. Racks of hella fire. I coped like 2 pair for 38 each. Very superior.

Typically it has been set that 6months is a good period until a wash, i would avoid dry cleaning, doing soaks in between variations of months can be good as well because your building up more contrast

Hatch, i really doubt they sell 47's at Kohl's, you probably picked up regular STF's. CityofChi, all i can think of is the Levi's store it self, ive seen multiple pairs of 47's.
