Hey I just got the 511 Commuters in indigo rigid. Now at first I didn't notice they were rigid. That means it's raw denim right?

Anyone know if these will fade well?

i've had a pair for over 12 months, wore 'em in etc etc and washed, nothing, wouldn't budge.
i think it has something to do with the water resistance or whatever?
plus they're not as thick/stiff as normal raws either i guess 
maybe wear and wash more frequently, might get them "vintage fades" happening, lol

yo, i just copped me some levis 508s - regular fit tapered "best of red tab". got the from a sale rack and didnt really find much info online about them.

here they are


they feel stiff and look raw, but are they raw? or are they rigid? do this bitches fade well? do they need a soak?

They're probably raw, do they say waterless on any tag? You don't have to soak them. Just wear the crap out of me and don't wash for a while.

they have waterless tag, which means that they have used less water in the manufacturing process i suppose. i do like to soak my raws though, so if they are raw, why not to soak?

So I've tried for like a year to get a slim fit, rigid trucker jacket. Finally, Levis had Smalls in stock on the website, so I bought it immediately. You missed out on their sale. I bought two, and returned both of them. I'm sure they'll restock soon. Otherwise, there's a few on eBay.

I'm a size 30 in 520s, and those aren't as tight as 511s, so I'll probably be a 32-33 in 511s.


Which would look really gay on me.
you size up once on 511s for a slim fit, tts for a tighter fit. anything more than that, just get a different model

they're going to naturally fade as you ride ... assuming you ride. although i'm not sure the general audience the commuter line is aimed for is necessarily buying these for sick fades.

Are Levis STF 501's "Raw" denim? If so, can anyone help me understand why most of the other Raw denim jeans, people say to size down on but STF you size up on?

Is STF the same raw denim as others? I mean not literally the EXACT same, but the same qualities?

Just trying to understand more of the difference.
