Just picked up a pair of 501 STFs from a vintage store, real nice... From the 1980s, the dye was discontinued I think because it was outlawed in some places, idk why specifically. It's nice and slubby, I'll post some pre/post wash pics and measurements when I get around to doing it. Might just go with the holistic approach though, haha let Seattle's rain do its work. The fit as of now isn't too bad itself.

Would post link to pix, but I'll have to wait until I'm over 25 posts.

They supposedly have a pair of Levi 510 Khaki Rigid in the works. Interested to see how they feel. I have an old pair of 501 STF Khaki, that look and feel great.

After getting them tapered they were still a bit too big/long for my liking so I
did a hot wash/dry.

those are 501s right? i can't rock skinnys lol

Anyone have any recent year-long pics taken of everyday wear with their Levi 501 STF's? Or anyone know wher eI can find? I've been looking through this thread for about an hour lol.

MyNudies (a website/forum) has had two contests in the past couple years with probably 10-20 pairs being worn.

tapering jeans is like this, from going to 514's to 511's
and you can do so taking them to your local tailor who can do a good job

I doubt you'll be able to get a 511 fit out of 501's. My 501 fit is pretty slim bt not too slim.

so, there arent any slimmer fit levis that are in the 'tobacco' color?
is there at least a similar color that comes in 511's? i cant wear 510's, too skinny for me.

and their is no color to my knowledge that is "tobacco" they have khaki and dark brown chords and trousers in 511's. if they did have 511's in that shit color"tobacco", it woulda popped up in a simple google search...
