How many people taper their 501stf? My tts waist pair has been worn lightly on and off for 8 months and don't really have any fades going besides on the wallet pocket, and I am kinda guessing it is due to being to wide in the calf. Anyone with pics of some tapered?

Being wide in the calf shouldnt prevent you from achieving fades. You should have defined honeycombs and whiskering if you've been wearing them for 8 months.

levis was my first love for denim.
LVC 501 saddlemen. i still own my pair from the release date.
been threw a couple washes(i was a dummy and never new about soaking)
anyways they still look dope, fit great.
i also had a pair of andy warhol's bannana print joints.
i love the fit and feel of levis.

My Haiti Stfs are almost two weeks in, with my obsessive hand washing, the fades in the front are coming quite nice - however irregular.

hey guys im on 12 months with my stf. when i first got em i did two hot soaks. since i they haven't touched water in like 11 months if i wash them now will they shrink?

you guys have any advice about achieving fades? i've been wearing my levi's for about 2 months and am seeing minimal fades. they're pretty much only on back pocket that holds my wallet.

Tightness, If your jeans are too loose you won't get as many fades.
Starch will help with the stiffness and more friction. And if you don't really do much in them - fades are going to take a long time... My STF's are 2 weeks in now, and I have a lot of fading going on from washing my hands and thigh rubbing them.

I washed my two weeks in. Wash your jeans if you feel they are dirty. Maybe I'll pit pictures up in a bit.

When you do wash them, all the fading is going to shift up and around.

I have some shrink to fits that I wore a few times but they are true to size. 36waist, 30length. I'm considering on trying to soak them but how bad will it affect the waist/length? I read a few pages and a lot of posts are saying how to stay true to size on waist but add 3-4 inches to the length..

It's a pair of Levis 591 Rigids that I got in my natural size (32). I personally havent even tried on anything below 514s. I'm a natural 32 with atheletic legs (I'm a 32 with Naked and Famous Weird Guys and they fit fine).

38*38 501 STF Hati, 2 weeks one wash.



after i shrunk them they were so tight that I thought they were cutting the blood from the lower half of my body. I was going to go a month, but they got spilled on and i slipped on the ice (the really light spot in the leg). I just wear them hard, doing everything (they had so much grit from tuning skis) . I washed them really hard. 10 soaks in a sink, one with tide. Rough agitation by hand.

After getting them tapered they were still a bit too big/long for my liking so I
did a hot wash/dry.

I bought a pair of STF's in tobacco last week. I sized down one and, man, they were a bitch to button up at first. I wore them around the house for a day or so and then sat in a bathtub with them for 45 minutes or so. I kept pulling at the waistline to stretch them out, then let them dry on me.

I have to say, they fit me better than any pair of STF I've ever owned. I'd post pics but i'm not allowed to yet.
