anyone rock 505's(regular straight)? i find that they look pretty good with sb's although one of my pair fits just perfectly almost like a slim straight(but more relaxed) cuz i can even pull off vans with it but the other is kinda baggier....anyone know how to shrink the bottom half of the jeans? if not thats cool, since they still look good with sb's on....just that it would be nice if that one jean was a tiny bit less baggy.

thinkin of getting some slim straights or skinnys for chucks or vans though....which one? and will they both look good with sb's(low dunks) as well ?

best bet is getting the 505's tapered.

so i just ordered a pair 501 stf, and i didn't add 3'' on the length, is it going to be fine or is it going to be on the ankle length after the first soak?

That's mostly for people who machine wash theirs at first. Just soak them in lukewarm water for a bit and that should keep them wearable.

any type of soak the length will significantly change. if you're looking for stacks, you won't have em.

Try them on first. Then figure out what length you want, they generally shrink up to 3" on the inseam at most.
If you soak in the kitchen sink for 30 - 40 minutes you will probably lose 1". Just keep an eye on them until they look right.

Depending on what he got yeah but it's not like a 5 minute cold dip guarantees -3".

a 5 minute dip means he won't get a full shrink on his jeans. meaning his jeans will be ruined if and when he decides to wash them again.

yeah I actually took a shower with them on. waist was bothering me for a little, but now this is just perfect. length is perfect. bottom of the pants are about 1-1.5 inch under the ankle ball. i kinda wish i have 1-2" more length, but right now jeans is perfect......

hey,
stf is still not that hot in germany so I guess I can cope some decent pair of stf in size 32 / 32.

I normally wear a 30-31 / 30 in 511s so now my worries are whether the stf will fit or not?
I haven't got a pair of stfs yet but I read that you should go 2-3 sizes up..

Beste Grüße aus Deutschland!

Measure your hips. Since you're a 31 in those Levi's already you will probably want a 31 or 30 depending on how slim you want them.
I'm a 28x34 but they don't make that so I got a 30x36 and after a 1 hour hot soak and machine wash they got to 30x34.
Whether mine are defective I don't know but from my own experience the inseam is what to watch and waist is more fit preference, like if you wear them loose and high waisted vs. slim and low on the hips.

I'm saying go further. I haven't had mine that long - But I was forced to wash them. the whiskers on mine are already coming in though from hard wear but the combs I feel the leg is too loose for them to set in. I think I'm going to start a new pair next week and size down.

EDIT: I'm buying a new pair now, should I get 38 *38 or should I do 38*36.
