Time to get another pair of stfs. My last pair turned out horrible. If im usually a 30x32 what size should i get for a similar fit to these?

- measure your true waist (not what your jeans tag says) and then subtract 2 to 3" for the waist
- for the inseam add 2 to 3"...generally for 32 inseam I would get 34"

arent you supposed to add to the waist since they shrink?

^ lol that's what Levi's advice is. It ends up being baggy that way. A good fit is TTS as the waist doesnt shrink too much. Definately would not advise going down 2 to 3'' as bull.flag is suggesting.. suprised

I got measured at San Francisco's Levi's Store and they put me at 33-34. No way in hell am I a 34. I went with 30 and they fit perfect.

*small update on my 501stf sized down 2-3 (28 x 34)
after a week and a half of solid wear, they have become comfortable. waist has stretched; it is still a little tight, but becoming more and more comfortable everyday. buttons are quick and easy to button and there is no pain anymore. despite what you guys say, i'm loving the fit.

i dont understand why you would size down so much are you trying to get untapered 511's? lmao

theres a point where you need to realize the cut can't provide what you want and sizing down 20 isnt gonna change that

^i wanted a roomier 511 that was rigid for $40. that is what i got =)
there is a point where you need to realize that the cut can, and did provide the fit i wanted... and sizing down 2-3 did exactly that.

i apologize if i am too optimistic and atypical for your taste. the way i do things doesn't have to be your way ;)

is there a special name for levis that dont display the waist or inseam numbers on the leather patch only the model number. I copped some levi from sufu and its a rigid 501 with red line selvedge, and it says 501 on the leather patch but is blank for both the waist and legnth.

Those look huge btw. Even after 2 soaks I doubt that they will fit the way you want. How did you size them?

I personally set the stacks how I wanted them and sat in the tub for an hour in warm-hot water. Make sure it's not too hot to avoid burning suprised .
